No one respected the 'children' of the team. Peter was seen as too young to be a hero. Wanda was seen as dangerous and that she could go back to being a villain any second. So the two heroes found comfort in each other. They spent almost every waking moment together. Neither of them went to school anymore. Peter graduated a couple of years early and Wanda decided not to attend altogether. Both Peter and Wanda didn't have a place to stay in the compound, so they lived in an apartment not far away. It wasn't a very nice apartment, but they didn't want to bother Tony about them getting somewhere at the compound. So they lived in a sub-par apartment, while the rest of the team lived in their nice rooms in the compound. At least they had each other though.
