Chapter Thirteen

Faith,Trust and Pixie Dust

"Alright since we both need each other you got yourself a deal" Melody mustered a smile and Jason snickered as if expecting her to submit to his will but to her that was not the case because this was more self preservation then a battle of the sexes which seems to be something this testosterone filled criminal enjoyed he loved submission. Melody cringed then turned the other way and went off to bed while Jason slept at the table with everything sharp in the suit with him which showed the level of trust between them as nonexistent.

Morning rushed over Melody and she saw a sleeping Jason at the table she got up out of bed and went to brush her teeth since in the last few months shes been in a facility then over the past three days hauled up in a hotel suit with a Canadian criminal whom upon meeting has lied to her about everything that a person can lie about. Now he's sleeping soundly and nothing has been discussed or how he got the clearance to visit her or why he was assigned and as to why he escaped with her, why now .

"Morning" Jason looked up and saw Melody "morning" Jason said back in a tired and groggy tone "we have to talk" Jason looked at her and sighed but nudged a chair out for Melody to sit down in so they can speak. "To trust you i'm gonna need some answers about everything, about all the lies" Jason "I had a trade off with them if i could lure you into a friendship with me then i'd get to live as i am now which is an imperfect experiment of what was a five hundred prison population who died of ecoli, they said someone my age was required and then my history would be erased so i agreed to that amazing deal". Melody looked down at the scrambled eggs and just didn't move but after about five minutes she looked up at met his gaze " i was your life's trade off then why break me out?" Jason had a full mouth and chomped down his food.

"Because i- i couldn't kill you when i already pitied you not to mention that i feel something for you whether or not its only chemical i don't know as of yet but i want to find out if you give me the chance to know you" Melody took all his words and gestures and registered them like a robot or a computer being reprogrammed. "So what now, where do we go from here?" Jason looked into Melody's eyes and smiled brightly "we run!" he got up and collected the money he stole along with some hotel bags they had then he came up to Melody and took out his hand

and looked at Melody "you in?" she smiled down into her lap then looked up took out her hand and placed it in his "i'm in" they raced to the elevator down to the lobby checked out immediately then got into a taxi headed to LAX and bought to last minute tickets to Toronto, Ontario.Canada they were officially on there way as to whatever was waiting for them in Canada well there going to find out.
