Bad Dream

Ugh... My head.. It hurts..

Sean then looked around, to see he was in his room. He almost teared up.
"Wha... What the hell? Was it all a dream..?"
Sean had headphones in, which was playing On Melancholy Hill by Gorillaz.

God.. I miss this song.. It's been forever since I've listened to it.. I wonder where dad is...

Sean gets out of bed and walked towards the door. Hearing the sounds of plastic hitting, assuming it was toys. He peaked through the door, seeing Daniel playing with his toys. Listening to him beat up some bad guys... Back when he didn't know he had powers.

I wish he was still innocent like he was back then..

That's when he heard his father coming from the garage. His eyes teared up.
"Dad!"

He ran over and hugged him, almost falling over, but he caught his balance.
"Woah Sean.. You alright? Why are you crying?"
His father hugged back while softly ruffling his hair.
"I-It's just.... You're here... Y-You're actually here..."
"Of course I am mi hijo (my son). Que pasó (what happened?)?"
"Papã... You're okay..."
Sean said while his father wiped his tears away gently.
"Don't cry me hijo.. It's alright. I'm here."
They continued to hug each other tightly.
It felt so real, Sean just wanted to hug him forever.. He missed him so much.
They finally pulled away, Sean's eyes were slightly blurry and red from crying.
"Did something happen in school?"
"N-No... Nothing happened in school... Just had a bad dream.."
"About what?"
"That... You got shot and... Y-You died in front of us... Me and Daniel.. D-Don't leave us dad... Please.."
He begged while his father calmed him down.
"Its alright. Shh..."
He said calmly as he hugged him tightly.

Sean gasped awake as he looked around.
He made sure that he didn't wake up Daniel who was fast asleep. He couldn't help but feel so empty and lost without his dad. It felt like it was his fault.
He couldn't help but get out of his tent quietly, tears streaming down his face, covering his mouth from trying not to make a noise. It was night now. Maybe around midnight...??
"Hey Sean." Everyone said quietly, seeing that Sean was crying.
"Are you...crying?"
"S-Sorry... I just... Need to be alone.."
Sean mumbled quickly while walking away as fast as he could.

He then started running.

He didn't know where.

He didn't care where he ended up.

As long as he didn't let the others see our hear him.

After what seemed like an hour, he arrived at a river..

He tripped and fell on his hands, making them slightly bleed from the sharp rocks.

That's when he started sobbing quietly. He wanted to scream out, but he didn't want to disturb the others. He also didn't want Finn to see him crying.

He sat there, thinking about his father and how this all happened..

"Sean?"
A soft voice spoke behind him.
It was Finn.
He didn't even bother to turn around. He stayed still while wiping his tears away.
"Yeah?"
He tried to sound normal, but his voice slightly cracked.
"Are you crying?"
"What? No! I'm just thinking about something."
He said while sounding slightly normal.
"Sean... Don't lie to me. I already know when your lying."
"Psh.. I'm not crying Finn. Crying is for pussies."
"Then you must be a pussy then."
He joked while sitting beside him. Sean turned his head away slightly so Finn wouldn't see his crying face.
"Look at me..."
Finn said softly while holding Sean's hand.
Sean shook his head a bit.
"I... I don't want you to see my face."
"I don't care how you look Sean... I love you the way you are... Please...?"
How can I say no to that fucking voice?
Sean nods a bit and slowly turned his head towards him.
Finn put a hand on his face. His hands were slightly cold, but it felt good against my warm face.
"Are you...going to be okay? Stupid question to ask, I know."
Sean snickered and smiled a bit.
"There's that smile I love."
Sean blushed a bit and slightly punched Finn's shoulder.
"Stop it master player."
Finn chuckled a bit while kissing Sean's cheek. His cheeks were slightly tinted in pink.
"Your going to regret it if you don't stop."
Sean said while looking at Finn.
"Ooohh. I'm so scared Sean Diaz."
Finn said while attacking him with kisses.
"You've asked for it. Stand."
Sean said while standing. Finn lifted himself up and stood a little taller then Sean, crossing his arms.
"So, Sean Diaz. What are you gonna do?"
Sean smiled and softly kissed Finn. He kissed back, but broke it when he pushed Finn into the river.
"Oh man! Woo! It's cold!"
Finn said not even angry or upset.
"How's the water Finn?"
"It's great! Thanks for asking! Want to join?"
"No thank you. I'd rather stay in land."
Finn playfully rolled his eyes and quickly picked up Sean, landing next to him.
"Holy shit! That's cold!"
Sean laughed softly and stood up.
"That's refreshing!"
Sean said while chuckling softly and getting out.
"Karma is a bitch."
Finn replied while chuckling a bit and getting out as well.
Sean playfully stuck his tongue out.
I sat down on the ground and so did Finn. We both looked up at the sky full of stars.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
Finn spoke up and held my hand gently.
"It is. That's why I came out here."
"No it wasn't, Sean.."
Finn spoke softly and squeezed my hand a bit.
"I... I saw you run into the forest... Sobbing.."
He replied while looking over at me.
"Sean, what's really wrong..? Did I do something to upset you..?"
"No.. No, Finn... I would never be upset at you.. I just had a nightmare, that's all.."
"If you don't mind me asking... But... What was it about?"
Finn asked me softly. I couldn't help but look away and close my eyes, feeling tears swelling up again.
"My.... My father...."
I spoke softly while a tear went down my face.
"Shit.. Sorry."
Sean was going to wipe it away, but Finn gently stopped him, and did it himself. He pulled Sean into a gentle hug.
"You don't need to be sorry, Sean.. It's okay to cry sometimes, everyone cries.."
Finn spoke softly and Sean hugged back tightly.
"I-I'm scared Finn... W-What if something bad happens to you..? T-Then it would be my fault.."
"It wouldn't be your fault, Sean.. Don't say those things.. Nothings going to happen. I promise."

~~~~~~1 hour later~~~~~~

They finally went back to the camp and quickly changed their clothes. Since it was freezing. Sean put on his regular shorts with a plain black t-shirt.
"Well, don't you look sexy~"
Finn walked around Sean, eyeing him up and down.
He playfully rolled his eyes and punched his shoulder softly.
"You punch like a kitten."
"If I were to punch you harder, you'd be in space."
Sean joked while chuckling a bit. Finn chuckled and kissed his cheek.
"Want to sleep in my tent tonight? That way you don't have to have bad dreams."
Sean smiled softly and thought about it.
"Are you sure? I don't want to take up space-"
"I have enough space for the both of us cutie."
Finn replied while Sean laughed.
"Alright.. Just try not to take off my pants while I'm asleep."
Finn laughed and had a tint of pink on his cheeks.
"I'll try not to."
