"My Heart..."

Shoto quickly pulled away and looked to the side. "Again, sorry."

"I-it's fine. You're...good at..hugs anyway," you said awkwardly, rubbing the back of your neck. You felt different around him. You weren't as cold, weren't as strict on yourself. You noticed that he was blushing, but shrugged it off.

His cheeks are red...

The bell rang suddenly and you both looked up at the clock at the end of the hall.

"Well, we should get to class, shouldn't we? History, right?" you asked.

Shoto smiled and nodded. "Yep."

You smiled as well and started walking to class, only for him to call your name.

"Y/N, you're going the wrong way," Shoto said, pointing to the other end of the hallway.

You blushed, embarrassed, and nodded. "My bad." You walked back to him, and then passed him.

He followed happily.

Both of you kept walking until you got the history class.

The teacher of the next class had seemed more awake and ready for the class. "Ah, Y/N! Welcome to history class! I'm your history teacher, Mr. Pho. And Shoto, you're not late this time!"

You snorted, trying not to laugh. "Wow."

Shoto blushed. "Shh!" he whispered to the teacher, holding his finger to his lips. "Shut. Up."

"Not the best way to talk to your teacher, but I'll let you pass since you got your new girlfriend with you," Mr. Pho said, smirking.

Shotos' cheeks burned. He stuttered out something you nor Mr. Pho could understand.

Your cheeks were burning now as well. You cupped your face with your hands and walked to an empty seat.

Shoto walked to his seat, too, which was a little ways away from your seat.

The class went on, and soon ended. History was shorter than home room.

Mr. Pho called you over after class. "So Y/N, what'd you think of Shoto?"

You narrowed your eyes. "Really?.."

"Really. Now, answer the question or you're not passing your next test," Mr. Pho threatened.

"What!? Seriously!?" You watched him nod and began to pout. "So what if I like him? You're acting like my brother!"

Mr. Pho giggled. "I was like you when I was in high school; silly, didn't trust anyone. That's how I know there's something between you two. I know him pretty well, so I can help. In fact, I already have, by getting you to admit right in front of him." He pointed to Shoto, who was still seated in his desk.

Your eyes widened as thoughts ran through your mind.

"Just kidding! He can't hear us!"

You balled up your fists. "You're luck we get out of school early today," you muttered under your breathe.

Mr. Pho chuckled. "It would be worth it, to be honest."

Shoto walked up to you and Mr. Pho randomly. "What's going on?" he asked coldly.

"Nothing!" Mr. Pho said cheerfully, resting his head on his palm, his elbow on his desk.

"Yep, nothing!"

Shoto raised a brow. "Odd, but okay."

My heart...it stopped for a second...
