It was a beautiful, chilled, Saturday morning in New York City. Ashton Irwin was an attractive well-liked Senior in college getting ready to go to the gym for his usual 6 am workout. He jumped out of bed and slowly walked to the dorm's bathroom to grab a quick shower. Ashton scurried over, turned it on to maximum power and got in. He shampooed his hair as quick as he could. He didn't bother with the rest of his body because he was going to the gym and would get all smelly and sweaty anyways. He would have to get another shower when he returned. After his 5 minute shower, he turned the water nozzle off and grabbed his towel sitting on the stool around the corner. He carefully dried his fit body, threw on his boxer briefs that he brought with him and walked into the hallway. Since everyone was either asleep or hungover from the night before, the halls were abnormally quiet. Not a lot of people get up at 6 on a Saturday. He walked back into his room and opened his closet slowly, making sure he didn't wake his roommate, Luke, who was asleep on the ripped bean bag sitting next to his loft. He picked out a pair of black and white sweats, a white t-shirt and a blue jacket then reached down to grab the gray bin sitting at the bottom of the closet. He slowly reached his hand into the gray bin and pulled out a pair of thick running socks, sat down on the floor and put them on. He always seemed to put the right sock on and then his right shoe first, never one sock on each foot then the shoes last. He hopped up and walked over to his desk sitting underneath his bed. He opened the left top drawer and pulled out a clip-on MP3 player and a pair of headphones. He plugged the solid white headphones into the small opening of the MP3, clipped the MP3 player to his white t-shirt and put the right headphone in while the other headphone was left dangling on his chest. He walked out of his room and down the hall to the elevators. Living on the 14th floor of his dorm, the elevator took forever to reach his floor. Ding! The arrow to the elevator lit up like a christmas tree with brand new LED lights. The silver, bleak doors opened to an empty elevator. He stepped in and pressed the 'ground level' button in the elevator as the silver doors closed. He waited patiently for the ring of the elevator to alert him that he was at the ground level. After what seemed like an eternity, the elevator screeched as the silver doors opened to the lobby of the dorm building. He stepped out into the lobby of the dorm and checked the clock. "6:30", he said to himself. He turned on American Idiot by Green day, walked out into the bright sun and stepped on the unparalleled campus sidewalk. He looked to his left and started running. The gym was about 3.2 miles away from his dorm room and he planned on getting there in about 20 minutes. Being a fairly fast runner, it wouldn't take him as long as most people to run a little over 3 miles.
