Finally the group of survivors reaches a door and smell the stench of death, the door swings open and mondo pushes in and looks in disbelief at a body curled in the corner, open glazed red eyes, a slight smile and a blood soaked face and white uniform , mondo stumbles over to the body and shakily lifts its face up ignoring everything else , staring at the dead eyes and remembering his brother's dead eyes and begins shaking and sobbing, the others were doing stuff behind him with hifumi's body he even heard hifumi speak  but he didn't care, his taka was gone, cold and dead . There was no such thing as hope anymore. How was taka stupid enough to get himself killed and more importantly … Why had mondo been so stupid he let taka be taken from him! But at least… Taka was more relaxed than mindo ever saw him in life.

Eventually they solved the trial, (though sense mondo stuck with the body the whole time wasn't much help) and watched celest be crushed under the wheels of a truck. Mondo felt a slight satisfaction they had done good and done his best despite his lack of info in the trial so whoever took his taka away would suffer but now he just felt numb.He was angry at himself. Before cekest was killed a painful conversation occurred.

Mondo had glared " I have two questions " he had asked her. She smiles and he grits his teeth " why him, and how did you get him alone he wasn't stupid!" he snarled at her. She just laughs " i killed him because he was a easy target by that i mean with his behavior especially how it recently changed he was someone hifumi already did not trust so he was easiest to convince him to kill taka " she snickered. Mondo glared at her " as for how , all good liars can copy handwriting and who would have guessed, if you make a meeting sound important and write it to look like it's from someone's  best friend you can get even the strictest to ignore a rule" she smiled and mondo felt it sink in , and remembered the out of place smile on the body…. He … Thought he was meeting me or chihiro….

He didn't say another word to her just stared filled with pure hate.

After the punishment mondo became a violent depressed person, he would shove anyone, if you mentioned celeste, hifumi , taka or hammers he would try and punch you, most of his classmates felt bad but he became an outcast and wouldn't talk to anyone but chihiro and even that was limited. He kept eating and living but every night he thought about taka and his real brother and regret so much, he had postponed his confession then slept as his taka was… killed. He wondered if it hurt taka to die, he wondered if taka ever got to know that it wasn't mondo or chihiro who killed him. He cried a lot and put up more walls and slid deeper into his strong persona as the inside if him was ebed away… Was there anything he could do… No.. Hope was taken along with that smiling prefect.
