Chapter 30: Worries

[Kagura's POV]

"P-pardon? " I asked as he only clicked his tongue.

"Nothing. " he responded, senselessly but I heard his words clearly. He wants to be friends with me...

"I-I heard you. E-either way, I also w-want to be f-friends. " I spoke, his eyes darting at me immediately.

"I take what I said back, I wasn't sure what I said that time but it wasn't my intention. It just... Slipped off my lips. " he denied but I was sure of what I heard earlier. My ears don't lie.

"N-no, you did that i-in purpose y-you even smiled! " I imitated the smile he wore when he said those relieving words.

"Oh please, even if I said that, I was simply joking and not speaking any truth. " he defended but as the determined person I am, I continued to pursue him.

"Fine, you're such a nausea. " he digged his fingers through his ears in irritation but I was glad that he said yes amd admitted sooner.

"N-not really. I-I just want to k-know you better and w-what would b-be more effective th-than being f-friends? E-eventually, I w-was just about t-to ask the same. " I told him what I had in mind. He nodded in understanding.

"Are you just trying to make me feel better of myself? " he questioned, leaning more on the tree and crossed his arms. "If you are, it isn't working. "

"M-maybe? " I said and gave him a soft smile, he faught over another curl of his lips and like the successful man he is, he succeeded.

"What is that supposed to mean? " he asked me and I only shrugged my shoulders slightly and stood from my position, grabbing the umbrella on the ground while running carefully around the surrounding trees.

"That's not answering my question. " he glared at me but I only continued to smile at him, soon his eyes began to soften down. Pinching the bridge of his nose to show the frustration in his pride.

Noticing this, I grabbed his hand and pulled him somewhere— the place where I admire the most.

"Where are you taking me? Let go. " he demanded but I ignored his order, I was just so happy to have the person with the most reputation to be my friend.

"I-I'm not a-allowing that. I-if you want t-to leave then you could j-just do so, y-you're stronger A-alu-sama. " I looked back at him, hearing his sighs.

I was expecting his hand to squeeze out of my grip but surprisingly, he tugged on it more.

I glanced behind me, his navi-ocean eyes already focused on my cerulean-blue ones.

"I'm suprised to say this but I'm ought to be a little bit interested. " he politely stated which earned a gentle smile from me, this time he gave back a small one but vanished as fast as it appeared.

Soon, we arrived on a lake which symbolized my place of peace when I was still with Lolita. The location remained to look quite peaceful, hiding all the nightmares it had within.

"This looks strangely familiar. " he commented, putting his index finger and thumb on his chin, examining then observing the place.

"I-I was hoping y-you'd say that. W-we actually s-stumbled here. " I said and the look on his face says it all, he does remember.

"And of what matter did you bring me here?" he interrogated as I watched the whole thing swing by.

"W-well, I was a-also hoping that w-we could rest here for a-awhile, appreciate the scenery, th-the songs and the b-breeze. " I replied with a smile.
