This story is written from Alec's point of view

So here we go again.
With a big sigh I entered our school and headed straight forwards to my locker. My next subject on the schedule was History.

Great. Absolutely great.

Frustrated by the circumstates I leaned my head against the locker.

"What happened to you? You're looking like Mr. Greyson when he looses hope on our class.", Valentina chuckled next to me.

"You'd looking like that too if you'd have to work with Nate as your History partner.", I spitted back.

"Calm down, buddy. She doesn't understand how it is.", Aspen put an arm around me pretending to feel my despair. Maybe he really does.

"No, I don't. But after seeing, how you failed your Chemistry presentation with him as partner, I can guess it.", she grinned while Aspen groaned in annoyance by his memories.

"Guys, you're not helping."

"Right. Sorry. We should motivate him.", Aspen suggested playfully.

"How should we motivate him if he has an idiot as his partner. Telling him he'll make it, would be a lie not even you would believe.", Valentina answered. Heavens...

"Are you calling me naive?" Aspen looked kinda offended.

Yeah, these lovely dorks are my friends. I've known them since kindergarden and they haven't changed since then. I don't know if I should say it's good or bad. But even though they have their quirks, they're still the most loyal friends I've ever had.

Valentina or also known as Vale has always been a brutal honest girl. Because of that her reputation is a little bit... well yeah. Yet she can still be overprotective and caring. Most of the time at least.

Aspen on the other hand is the more cheerful type, who's a top football player in our school team. Even when he's airheaded sometimes, he wouldn't betray his friends under any circumstances.

"The both of you will never change, will you?", I chuckled slightly while opening my locker and getting the books for the lesson.

"Nope and you know that.", Aspen smiled and boxed me against my shoulder. "So... I've gotta go. If I'm too late to Mrs. Maddisons lesson, she'll kill me. Good luck Alec and see you both at lunch.", Vale said before she went to the gym.

"I think, we should also keep going. Have fun with Nate, bro. And if he talks too much: Just say he has bad breath.", he told me amused. "I'll only do it if it's necessary.", I answered him after I closed the locker. "Believe me. You will. Till later."

After that I went to the classroom where I chose a seat near the windows.

Nobody except Serena who was reading a book was there. The others and our teacher will most likely come in five minutes. Or later I guess.

Bored I looked out of the windows till I felt a pair of eyes watching me. In the reflection I could recognize it was Serenas.
"Is something wrong?", I asked her.
"Hm? No, nothing.", she answered quickly looking right back into her book.

Serena Placewood, the golden girl at our school. She was everything the most people wanted to be. Intelligent, pretty, sympathic and caring. Not to mention on how much the teachers like her.
But I think she... I don't know... hides something. Nah I'm just imaging things.

The room got filled with more and more students although Mrs. Charlsen still didn't show up.

"Move."

We all turned our heads towards the direction where it came from only to see that Miriam, the joker of the school quartett, ordered a guy to take another seat so that she can sit next to a hottie.
Of course the guy moved immediatly wanting to prevent a conflict.
Satisfied by her own power she took a seat and then also Chloé, Liam and Nate arrived.

Better known as the queen, the king and the ace.

"What are you staring at, nerd?"

Again.

It got silent in the classroom and I lowered my head.

"Pah...", I heard them whispering something before Nate came up to me.
With a harsh grip on my hair he pulled my head up to face him and I couldn't deny how intimidating his dark eyes were. "Listen, you little geek. When we ask you something, you'll answer. I just wanted to say that you shouldn't lower your gaze like a man but then I memorized what a weakling you are."

The others laughed about this action. Nobody helped me. I was alone.

Even if they are just trying to protect their reputation.

I didn't know why but I looked at Serena. Maybe because of hope.

Her gaze met mine.

She didn't laugh.

...But she didn't help either.

Silently I bit my teeth together, closed my eyes and looked away.

"Let's hope for a good teamwork.", Nate grinned at me. After letting go of my hair, he smacked my head for their group to laugh harder.

"Silence! I can even hear you outside in the hallway!", Mrs. Charlsen shouted.

This is my daily life. I guess it's not that bad anymore after a while. You'll get used to it. It's only sad each time if nobody, not even the good person, wants to help you.
