Harry was exhausted. He was sporting a nice sized bruise on his forehead and a few broken ribs from the Dursley's "play time" earlier in the day. He exhaled deeply, wincing slightly when the broken ribs pressed against his lungs. As he found a way to get up, Harry started to wonder (something he does on a regular basis), why he is treated so cruelly here even though in the Wizarding World he is a savior. Although he wished to go back to Hogwarts, he knew he didn't deserve it. He didn't deserve the love, the care or the happiness he felt in the magical castle he likes to call home. This is why he was torn. You see, Harry had received a letter from Hogwarts 2 days ago. It read like this:
Dear Mr. Potter,
The Ministry of Magic along with the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry would like to offer the opportunity to any newly graduated students to attend an "extra" year of schooling. This proposition will only be offered to the students that graduated the year of the war. This "8th year" if you may, will help students finish their N.E.W.T's and O.W.L's so they are able to graduate with a full degree for higher education or a job. If you are interested in this 8th year, please respond back by August 3rd. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Hdm. McGonagall & The Ministry of Magic
Albeit ecstatic that this opportunity had arisen, Harry was still hesitant. It took a lot of thinking, and of course with thinking came drawing, but finally he had decided. Although he had many cuts on his arms, and his ribs were broken, Harry would go back to Hogwarts.
