Every single fucking person in this room is fucking stupid.
Cas looked around the classroom, his head resting on his hand as the teacher stood at the front of the room, lecturing away. There was a spitball fight on the other side of the room, by the door. Cas was cornered in the back, thankfully next to the window. There was a lovely view of the street and the neighborhood beyond, and it was the optimal place to go unnoticed. There were two girls in front of him who were passing notes, and a gaggle of jocks in the center of the room who were obviously not paying any sort of attention to what Mr. Wickoff was saying. He was the most laid back teacher at Woodbird Highschool, and so thusly it gave all of his students the idea that they did not have to pay attention to him when he was teaching. Cas sighed and leaned back in his chair, gazing out the window as he wished that he was anywhere but here. He turned to look at the clock, anxiously counting down the seconds until the end of school. Ten... A spitball hit the wall and stuck just in front of his face, causing him to flinch slightly. Five...Four...Three...Two...One.
The bell rang, saving the students from dull voice of the teacher. Mr. Wickoff tried to give out homework but the students were in too much of a bunch and too rambunctious to pay him any mind. Cas stood up and pulled on a bland, black backpack. He easily melded with the other students like a shadow to avoid the homework as well. He wasn't going to do homework that no one else was going to do, that was for sure. They filtered into the dense hall of other students, all eager to go home and do whatever is is they like to do.
Thank god that's the last class. Cas thought to himself, working his way to his locker. The overwhelming smell of cologne and perfume gave him a throbbing migraine, and the general noise and clamor made him feel nauseous. Cas finally made it to the locker and fumbled with the combination. There was a girl making out with an unknown guy on Cas' right, and a showdown between two opposing book nerds on his left. He finally opened the locker, stuffing the books he would need in his backpack.
A group of jocks were pressed right up behind him, laughing and joking the center of the hall. No one in this fucking building has any consideration for the people around them. Cas thought bitterly, shutting his locker with a loud slam. He hoisted his backpack onto his back once more and turned around, pushing and shoving his way out of the school. Damnit, I'm just trying to leave the fucking place, can't you all stay out of my way for five fucking seconds?!
Cas escaped, barely. he practically ran out of the school building, panting and dazed. As the fresh air gradually cleared his thoughts, he felt the migraine and naesea subside. He started to trudge home, pulling his blue headphones over his ears as he flipped through the songs on his Ipod.
That's when he spotted them.
They usually would target him after school, but Cas had forgotten about them until that moment. They were lounging by a lamp post, next to the football stadium. He was leaning against a lamp post, smoking a cigarette as usual. They all wore matching varsity rugby jackets, as they usually would. Cas froze from where he stood, praying that they hadn't seen him yet. He quickly altered his course to go across the street. When he crossed the street without occurance he thought he had avoided distater successfully. Then, he heard a shout. Cas turned around and saw that he was putting out his cigarette, pointing a lazy finger in Cas' direction as the rugby players started to advance. Shit shit shit shit shit shit...
