Sarah's POV

I was texting Lauren asking for each of the boys' numbers so I could text them for our dinner. Now, I'm currently texting Zach asking where we should go out for dinner, like for all of us, don't think for a date, heh no I don't like him.

Text convo:

~ starbucks ~

We arrived at Starbucks and we saw Jonah through the window, probably stalking Lauren while drinking coffee, he told me he liked her on text.

But anyway, we went in the store "Hey Jonah!" Lauren greeted, which I call "flirting 😉😉"

I sat down and we waited for the boys for like five minutes. When they went in, I felt the seat beside me go taken, I look to my right and it was Zach, woah.

"Hey," he said. "Hi Zach..!" I replied, nervousness obvious in my voice. "Come on love birds" Corbyn teases. We both roll our eyes and stand up to go to the restaurant nearby.

We were now in the restaurant and ordering food, Zach sat next to me...again. I don't mind it though as long as he doesn't do anything stupid.
Then our food came after ten to fifteen minutes and we all started to eat.

*after eating*

The employee brought us our cake for dessert and we all digged in. After a few minutes, I look over to my right and Zach puts icing on my nose "Zach!!" I shouted, getting icing from the cake and putting it on his nose too.

"Woahhhh nooooo!!!" he laughs, oh that soothing laugh. The people saying "Awwww" all along. The others laughed at us looking like young immature teenagers and I catch Jonah shot a picture of us laughing and smiling like idiotic humans.

I don't mind.

As soon as we sat back down firmly on our seats, Zach took a hold of my hand under the table and interwined them then we continued finishing our cake.

Lauren's POV

The whole time we were eating our cake, I noticed Sarah wasn't moving her right hand from under the table and Zach wasn't moving his left, I look under the table trying not to be noticed then I see their hands interwined.

I got my phone out and shot a picture from under the table.

~ a few minutes later ~

Sarah's POV

I see a familiar guy walk in the restaurant and notice that it was Nick, my ex. My eyes started watering and I immediately snapped my hand off Zach's and ran through the door bumping into him.

I hear footsteps behind me but I didn't care, I ran to my car and sat there with my head on my knees crying my eyes out.

Until I hear the door open, it was Zach. Jeez, I never thought he would actually care. "Hey," he said, his voice soothes me everytime. "Are you okay? What happened back there?" He continued but I didn't reply.

"Sarah, please answer me.." he said calmly, getting a hold of my chin and moves it to his direction. "what do you want Zach" I said kinda harshly "I don't want anything Sarah, I just need you to believe me when I say ...

Everything's going to be okay

okay?" He said, his voice is perfect. "I saw my ex.." I stuttered "It's fine, everything's going to be okay" I just nodded in response. He smiled gently while he holds my hand together with his. He held me tight in his arms and it was the first time I felt like I was safe.

I think I'm in love.
