T'CHALLA'S POV
It seemed like it became harder and harder for me to see my ex-wife, Y/N, and my three-year-old daughter, Minera. The two of them were the best things that had ever happened to me, even though Y/N and I couldn't make our marriage work in the long run. I did cherish the fact that she still wanted me in her and Minera's life. Because I hadn't seen them in a couple of weeks, I decided this was the best time for me to visit without it being very short.
Since I would be away, Mother and Shuri assured me that they would protect Wakanda while I was away. Once I made it to Y/N's home, I was taken back when Y/N opened the door in tears. She looked like she hadn't had a good night's rest in a while. I wanted nothing more than to ask her if she was all right or if she needed anything, but I did not know if I had the right to ask her that. She sniffed and said,"Hey, T..T'Challa. Please come in."
I stepped inside and Y/N immediately wrapped her arms around my waist, clinging to me tightly. I went to try to comfort her, but she pulled away. She used her sleeve to wipe her tears, which seemed to be constant.
"I'm sorry you have to see me like this, T'Challa. You want to see Minera? She's in here."
Y/N almost ran into the wall. I gently pulled her to the side to keep her from doing just that. Something had to be wrong because the tears and the appearance wasn't a side of Y/N she let me see often.
Whenever she was upset like this, something was terribly wrong. She led me to the living room where Minera was watching the program called Cailou. It was one of Minera's favorite shows to watch, but she had so many I often could not keep up.When she noticed me, she ran to me hugging my knees.
She cutely said,"Daddy, I..I.."
She stopped talking and got distracted by Cailou. Y/N was on the couch with her face in her hands.
Since Minera would be distracted by the television, I grabbed Y/N's hand and pulled her into the kitchen. I placed us both at an angle where we could still see Minera if she felt like she was alone.
I turned to Y/N, and she was trying her hardest not to let me see her face.
Y/N'S POV
I couldn't bear for T'Challa to see me. Life just seemed like it got harder and harder every single day and I was a wreck without T'Challa around. We were divorced and maybe he was happy in Wakanda, but maybe I should just be honest with him about what else had me so upset.
He slowly moved my hands and said,"Y/N, you can trust me with whatever is hurting you like this. I want to help. You don't have to tell me, if you are not comfortable. I understand."
I could not help but smile and laugh saying,"You're just..You're just amazing, T'Challa. I miss you and I miss us being a family. T'Challa, you looked out for me. You looked out for Minera. I could never forget just how hard you tried to make sure she had everything she needed. I know you are probably busy in Wakanda and you have so much on your plate, but if you could maybe-"
I was cut off by feeling his lips upon my own. He gave me the chance to pull away if I wanted to, but I didn't.
He smiled and I did the same, before I said,"I really needed that. I am also about to lose the house. I can't keep up with the bills and I know I told I wanted to be independent, but I need help. Your help."
T'Challa asked me,"Do you want to stay in Wakanda, until you figure out what you want to do?"
I smiled and nodded, before I hugged him.
T'Challa hugged me back saying,"I've missed being a family too, Y/N. Don't worry. I'll take care of you and Minera just like I used to."
Minera ran into the room and said,"I ated my snack!"
T'Challa chuckled and Minera laughed too, but she seemed to like to mimic TChalla. I knew if she turned out like T'Challa, she would be fierce one day.
