Peter Parker never had it easy. Even saying that would be the understatement of the century. Before Spider-Man he was The Winter Spider. You might be wondering who is The Winter Spider? How did Peter become the Winter Spider? Well, you are about to find out.

Peter's POV

I had just about had it with Barnes's complaining about me faking my experience as The Winter Spider. He didn't even know the whole story. No one did...

I looked up from where I was standing to see Barnes complaining about me. Steve nodding at everything Barnes was saying. Dad (Tony) and Auntie Tasha looking at me with sympathy. And everyone else looking at me with pity.

"He is just lying about his whole experience. He is just some kid who wants attention and wanted to kill people for fun!" Barnes yelled.

"SHUT THE HELL UP, JAMES!" I yelled.

"What did you just say to me?!"

"You heard me! I am not lying!"

"How would we know? You never tell us anything."

"Because what happened to me was your fault!"

"What do you mean?"

"Hydra wanted to make sure that if you ever escaped they would have a backup plan. Something that they were sure wouldn't fail. The Death Soldier. A soldier made to wipe out humanity in two days. The already had a perfect candidate, 3-year-old Peter Parker. The son of Mary and Richard Parker. On the day of my 4th birthday, my father took me to his lab and showed me everything. But what had interested me the most was the radioactive spiders. My father told me to be careful around them and never touch them. He went upstairs to check on my mother leaving me alone in the lab. Ignoring my father's warnings I took the spider out of its cage and went to pet it. What I didn't realize was that spiders weren't like dogs, you couldn't pet a spider like a dog. So I got bit by the spider. I had killed it. Once my father came back with my mother I didn't want to get in trouble so I hid it from them. We talked about random things until we heard two gunshots. Which I later found out was my aunt and uncle being shot dead. My mother told me to hide. I did as told and my mother said 'Peter, my sweet little boy we will always love you. Never forget us.' I said I wouldn't forget them and I loved them back. My father told me to never come out of my hiding spot even if I heard something upstairs. They soon went upstairs leaving me alone. Two more gunshots rang out. Eventually, they found me. I was brought to a man. I asked where my parents, aunt, and uncle were. He told me that they were sleeping. I believed him. They took me to a Hydra base and turned me into The Death Soldier. I soon found out that my parents sleeping meant that they were dead. I couldn't grieve. Why? I was incapable of grief. I was already made The Death Soldier. I was incapable of emotions, of anything. I was trained to kill someone in less than a second. And what I was trained to do I did every time I had a mission. I was their perfect weapon. And when you escaped, I was punished for it. After three years of punishment, they thought I had enough. They made me return to my missions. I killed countless families with no regret. I soon was tasked to kill you. You know the rest. I wanted to be a scientist like my father. Kind, caring, and selfless like my mother. I was far away from that goal. I never got to grieve unless you count killing people without emotion as grieving. I was taught to understand that I am nothing. My only purpose in this world was to serve Hydra and then die when I fulfilled that purpose. So excuse me for getting upset at you."

And with that, I walked away. Dad and Auntie Tasha following behind me but not without giving Barnes the glare.

Everyone else?

They were busy looking at Barnes with disgust. Even Steve.

The story of the Winter Spider was finally revealed.

It was time for me to move on and be who I wanted to be, who I was meant to be.
