The Silent Killer

Chapter 1

It was the first day of school and I wasn't quite excited. My friends Cora, Michael, Stacie, and my BFF Chloe were texting me all weekend about it. They're those people that are smart, not nerdy, and get excited about learning. But I'm the one in the group thats not the brightest. I'm the crazy and funny one in the group. That's right, me. Alex Morgan Mitchell. I woke up at around 6:00 this morning. I wanted to go back to bed but my mom insisted on me staying up. She tried to make me a nice pancake breakfast, but my moms not good at cooking so she had burnt the pancakes. So we had to sit at the table as she talked away about how she did everything correctly and how she didn't know how it burned and I'm sitting there about to fall asleep and smash my face into the pancakes. If your wondering, I don't have a dad because he ran away from home when I was first born. Anyways, after breakfast, I went up to have a nice warm shower to calm myself about the day. Once I was done, I straightened my long red hair and got dressed. I went downstairs, kissed my mom bye, and told her the pancakes were fine, and walked to school. I walked to school in my yellow sundress, white vest, and flats, and I thought to myself. "What if I have a bad day? What will it be like?" Whatever. I got to school and saw a group of my friends talking and laughing with each other. Chloe spotted me and ran over, with a huge grin on her face. "Omg! There you are!" She hugged me. "There is great gossip going around! You must hear." She pulled me over to our group and everyone greets me. " Ok. Your finally here." Michael said, excited. Everyone leaned in to hear. " I got a girlfriend!" All of us screamed and hugged Michael except for Cora. She just smiled wide. "Who is it! Who is it!" Stacie asked. Cora stepped in, her green eyes locked on Michael. "It's me!" She said, smiling wider. We turned to look at her. Everyone was silent. "Wait, what?" said Stacie. "I didn't know you guys liked each other!" Everyone laughed. "So when did this all start?" asked Chloe, excitedly. Michael pulled Cora beside him and wrapped his arm around her."Well..." He began. "It started when we had the Science project together. We went over to Cora's house to work on it. At one point, we were being funny and looking up funny pictures and Cora laughed. She had the most beautiful laugh." "Awwww!" We all said. Michael rolled his eyes and continued. "So anyways, I looked into her eyes and they sparkled into mine. So I leaned in for a kiss." "And it was the best kiss in the world!" smiled Cora. "So what happened after that?" asked Chloe. Cora was excited to answer this one. "Well, we kind of kept laughing after word and when he was about to leave, he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend. No biggy!" We all laughed. "So you guys are really together huh? I wish I had your romance." I said. Michael nodded and Cora kissed him . So cute! Finally the bell had rung. "Congrats guys!" I said. I'm so happy for you two!" I gave them both a big hug and we went to our classes.
