[Lanys and Peter are walking down a wrecked street and Lanys is looking at Peter with a very serious face]
Lanys: Why? Really? Why?
Peter: Why what?
Lanys: Why would you lie about your grandfather?
Peter: I don't know, it was a long time ago, I used to lie all the time to feel good about myself.
Lanys: Really? That's your excuse...
[Lanys takes a deep breath and looks directly at Peter]
Lanys: Just keep walking.
Peter: That's what I'm doing.
[Lanys puts an angry face]
Lanys: I don't know why we are friends.
Peter: You are talking like we've been friends for years, we just became friends, in an awkward handshake, by the way.
Lanys: Just...is it far now?
Peter: No, we are close. And just to warn you, my Gramps likes to talk a lot and he is a pain sometimes.
[Lanys looks at Peter when he finishes talking]
Peter: What?
Lanys: Nothing.
[Peter and Lanys continue to walk and Peter stops at an old wooden house and he stops in the fence]
Peter: We're here. Now, prepare yourself my Gramps just lost his wife and he's very depressed.
Lanys: I understand.
[Peter opens the gate and helps Lanys to get in and Peter stops at the door of the house]
Peter: Gramps. It's me your...
[Suddenly an elderly man appears through the door and hugs Peter and moves him around like a rag doll]
Gramps: (yells) My favorite grandson is here!!!
Peter: (embarrassed) Stop, gramps.
[Gramps lets go of Peter and Gramps looks at Lanys]
Gramps: And who is this young lady?
Peter: Well, I want to say her name is Weirdo, but...
Lanys: ( rapidly interrupts) ...I'm Lanys.
Gramps: Oh, hi, Lanys. Nice to meet you.
Lanys: Same.
Gramps: So, what do I owe the pleasure of this wonderful and awesome visit?
Peter: Well...
Gramps: Don't tell me, you are both in love and want my blessing. Oh, Peter, my boy...
[Gramps gets close to Peter and pinches his cheeks]
Gramps: you've grown so much, even though you really need to get some exercise to lose that extra northern weight you gained in New Jersey.
Peter: (annoyed) Gramps, stop. Lanys wanted to talk to you, that's it.
Gramps: Oh, okay. Come in, then.
[Gramps enters the house, followed by Peter and Lanys. They all sit down and Gramps looks at both of them]
Gramps: Are you sure, you don't want my blessing?
Peter: (angrily) No!
[Lanys chuckles]
