Chapter Forty - Eight

*1 YEAR LATER*

*Liv's P.O.V*

It's been just over a year since Mikey's proposal and throughout the year we have been planning the wedding. Derek and Sophie don't want to get married just yet as they're looking to move into a new house first and then start saving up for a wedding. However, me and Mikey are getting married in around 2 months time. It was Wednesday and in 2 days time on the Friday, me, Amelia and Sophie were going away to Miami for the weekend for my hen party. Amelia had planned all of this so I had no idea what to expect. Whilst us girls are there for the weekend, the 3 boys and Tayler, Bryce and Edwin, were all going out for Mikey's stag do. So this weekend is going to be a messy one for both the girls and the boys. Me and Mikey decided to spend today chilling all day and then tomorrow going out and doing stuff before the weekend arrives and were away from each other for a few days. 

It was currently 10am and I had been awake for an hour or so now and Mikey was still fast asleep. I was sat up on the bed and on my phone when I looked next to me and saw him yawn, stretch and look back up at me. Finally, he was awake. "Morning lazy" I said chuckling down at him. He laughed and yawned. "Good morning beautiful." He leaned up and pecked my lips I pecked back and smiled. Things were amazing. The last year has been amazing. No bad things have happened and everyone in the group is happy. Waking up like this every morning with a smile on both of our faces is amazing. I am so lucky with what I have in my life. He got up out of bed, headed into the en suite, closed the door and turned the shower on. As he was about to have a shower, I decided to get up and go downstairs and make us both a cup of tea ready for when he was out. I headed down, flicked the kettle on and sat down whilst it was boiling. I waited then heard the kettle go off so I made the teas before heading back upstairs and to the bedroom where Mikey was no stood with a towel wrapped around him.

"Hey baby" I said as I places the teas on the side. "How was your shower?" I sat on the bed and watched him as he started to get changed. "It was great baby." He replied before sitting next to me, kissing my cheek and then picking up his tea and starting to drink it. I smiled and drank mine. The plan for today was to literally watch movies, cuddle and eat all day, which sounds great to me. I finished my tea, turned the TV on and we both climbed back into bed. He opened his arms for me, I moved in placing my head on his chest before turning to watch the TV. As we watched the first movie, I felt Mikey trace soft, warm patterns along my arm. It made me smile big and made me realise how lucky I am to be marrying someone like him. We'd been through so much together over the years and were finally in a great place in ourselves, with our friends/family and with our relationship.

The film finally finished and I was half asleep but Mikey started shaking me gently. I opened my eyes fully and looked at him. "mhm?" I questioned, wondering why he was waking me up. "Are you hungry? I was gonna cook us some food." He said grinning like a little child. I chuckled snd nodded. "Sure, I might take a nap whilst you cook it, if thats okay?" I then yawned straight after making Mikey laugh too. He nodded, kissed my head and then stood up. "Of course baby." I smiled at him and as he left the room, I lay comfortably and closed my eyes.

*Mikey's P.O.V*

I was really looking forward to spending a couple of days with Liv before we both went away for our stag and hen weekends. We were going to order food and be lazy, but I really enjoy cooking so I decided to cook whilst she took a quick nap. I strolled downstairs and into the kitchen, getting all the ingredients out. I decided I wanted to cook a stir fry, as it was one of Liv's favourite meals that I cook for her. It took me about half an hour to make the food, giving Liv enough time to get a nap in. 5 minutes before the food was finished, I went upstairs and into our room to see Liv sleeping peacefully and cuddled up to the duvet. "Liv?" I whispered shaking her gently. She yawned opening her eyes and stretching before looking at me and smiling. "Yes baby?" "Food is ready." I kissed her head and helped her up, and downstairs we went to eat.

The food went down well as both mine and Liv's plates were empty after 10 minutes. We were now sat on the sofa cuddling and watching TV. We decided to watch a horror and then a comedy afterwards, we were now on the comedy as the horror had just finished. I looked next to me half way into the horror to see Liv half asleep again and I chuckled. "Wow you must be tired today." She opened her eyes fully, chuckled and then sighed. "I'm sorry baby, I know you wanted us to spend today and tomorrow together before we went away but im so tired." "Hey no its okay, we'll go sleep as it is getting late then we'll have a fun day ice skating and bowling okay?" I smiled at her reassuringly and she nodded smiling getting up. I got up after her, turned the TV off and headed upstairs with her.

*Liv's P.O.V.*

We headed into our room, Mikey stripping to his boxers and I stripping to my bra and pants. We both climbed into bed and instantly cuddled up to each other. Tomorrow will be such a fun day and today has been nice and chilled too. I lay my head across his chest and a leg over his leg and yawns. Mikey held me close and traced patterns along my arm slowly making my eyes close slowly and almost instantly falling to sleep.

Im sorry again for not uploading for months :( im so bad and keep forgetting and not knowing what to write. However, Im gonna try upload more, maybe not very frequently straight away but I'll get there eventually.
