This book is based off the myth of the Slenderman. If you don't know who the Slenderman is, search him on the internet. I am going to warn you though, you may find it disturbing and sort of irrational. If you are young and easily scared by things which may cause Nigthmares, don't search  the Slenderman. 

For those of you that know who the Slenderman is and know what sort of things can happen to a human when they are being followed by him, you will notice that there are parts of the story where these sorts of things happen, such as technology failing and camera's going weird.

Part 1

'You can't tell me that you've never heard of him?' asked Stefani. Kenny gave a blank look and simply replied 'No.'.

'Well you should!'

'Why should I?'

Stefani stared into his eyes. There was no emotion. 'It's just something that everyone - or near enough - knows about! Here, let's ask Ramon and Caroline'

'No, don't you dare ask -' Kenny sighed.

'Ramon, Caroline?' A simultaneous 'what' echoed round the staff room. Stefani giggled to herself, shaking her head. 'Have you heard of the Slenderman?'

Ramon and Caroline looked at each other and smiled. Ramon looked back at Stefani and smiled. 'Me and Caroline was just literally doing a piece on him. We asked Rory if it was possible if we could like a... off-the-job recording in Laguna woods up the road.'

'Go on...' Stefani tilted her head curiously.

'He said yes, we was just trying to figure out a weekend where we could all do it. It'll be a laugh.' Caroline muttered. 

'Ah, I see. Well, I'm free for the next couple of weekends, I think'.

'I'm free but who's to say I'll do it?' Kenny laughed.

Stefani looked, 'Oh, come on. Come with us, it'll be a laugh. Just us, hanging round a forest. Hunting Slenderman.

'Look, I don't wanna go -'

'On air in five minutes!' The producers voice echoed around the room. 

'I'll take that as a yes then!' Stefani laughed. Ramon and Caroline chuckled to their-selves.

Kenny sighed, 'Fine'.

Kenny and Stefani walked across to the recording studio, where they would broadcast the latest news of Orange County. Mainly the latest cases of missing people. They all seemed to be going missing in the woods. No one had yet gone missing in the Laguna woods. However, when mapped out, the disappearances were going in a line. Heading from one wood to another, Laguna was next.

 Part 2

Stefani and Kenny sat down, quickly scanning the script and making sure that the screens were working. They gave the camera crew the thumbs up and the producer counted down from five, pointing at the couple when he reached one. Kenny and Stefani looked up at the camera. 

'Hello I'm Kenny Shay and welcome to KABC news, on today's news, we continue with the mysterious kidnappings of which no evidence has been left behind.' Kenny gave a quick smile to the camera and glanced at Stefani. 

'Since the last disappearances of last week, there has been another 2 reported missing. The Saunderson sisters, Katy and Rebecca, aged 13 and 19 were reported missing on the 19th of this month. The parents and brother say that they were taking a short vacation at a campsite located just a few hundered meters north of Laguna woods.'
