My last class of the day was English. I arrived into Ms. Readings classroom to find Ashton sitting in my regular seat. I sat down beside him and greeted him with a smile.

"Am I in your seat?" He asked, a worried tone in his deep, raspy Australian voice.

"Yes," I smiled, trying to silently tell him it didn't matter. He put a hand on his back pack.

"I can move if you want." He started to get up but I pushed his shoulders down.

"No, sit. I don't mind." He put his backpack on the ground again, relieving himself.

"Sorry." He blushed, going red.

"Don't worry." I smiled. As I said this, Ms. Reading waltzed in the door.

"Alright class, this term we will be focusing on Creative Writing. For our first lesson, I want everyone to sit beside someone they didn't speak to last term." The majority of the class stood up and shuffled into different seats, obeying Ms. Readings orders. Ashton and I stayed still.

"You are to interview your partner and find out information about them. For homework, you have to write the information out as an essay. Basically, you will be writing a short biography of your partner. I'll get you started with some questions on the board." Ms. Reading turned to the white board and started hitting down basic interview questions. Ashton and I got started on our interview.

"Hi Cliff, what is you name?" Ashton smirked, getting ready to write down the answer on a sheet of paper.

"My name is Cliff." I giggled.

"What's your full name?" Ashton asked, matter of factly.

"Cassandra Iris Rue Mendes. It's awful, blame my parents."

"It's not, I like it. So people call you Cliff?" Ashton asked. Everyone did.

"Yeah, it's just a nickname my parents call me, and then everyone called me Cliff. Some people don't even know my real name but I don't care because I don't like it." I shrugged, sipping on my bottle of water.

"Okay, Cassandra." Ashton giggled. He wrote my name on the sheet. "How old are you?"

"I am 18 born November 18th 1994." I answered, remembering my birthday which I always forgot.

"Happy birthday in 14 days." Ashton grinned, writing on the sheet. "Okay, do you have any siblings?"

"I have a huge family, get ready to write. I have 3 older brothers, Cole, Daniel and Morgan. They are 27, 24 and 21. Then I have 4 half sisters on my dad's side, Acacia: she's fourteen, Rhea who is 12 and Imogen and Ember and they are twins who are 7 I think. Then on my moms side I have 2 sisters, Teegan and Kendra who are 16 and 13 and a little brother who is five called Sterling."

Ashton sat back in his chair. "Wow."

"What?"

"That's a big family."

"I told you. Here, I'll write it." I took the sheet of paper off him and wrote out my family members.

"Thanks." Ashton said as I hades the sheet back to him. He was still in shock of how many siblings I had.

"So I take it your parents aren't together anymore." He said blankly. I shook my head in response.

"Yeah, me too." He said in a small whisper.

I felt his pain. My parents split up when I was only one. My mom got over the divorce quickly and had Teegan when I was two. That was followed by her second marriage to her boyfriend of 2 years, Joe. Then dad got married and had Acacia and the kids just kept coming. Right now, I had four brothers and six sisters. I told Ashton I lived with my dad, who worked as a music producer, and his wife Liana and their four daughters and my brother, Morgan. Cole and Daniel had recently moved into apartments with their fiancée's.
