Hello people!

A random shot added to my story list. Hoping to get a good response.

Note: This story is in no way insulting Aditi's looks. We all know she is beautifully alluring. But, here I have just tried to put forward my point of view on the way girls are insecure these days. I have come across many girls who, despite being beautiful, think that they aren't. I don't write general fictions usually or else it wouldn't have been felt for Avni's looks.

It wasn't more than a week that Neil confessed his love for Avni. Since then, she had been avoiding him and there sure was something going on in the back of her head. Though he told her that it was okay if she didn't love him back and he was still happy to have her as his wife, she just couldn't get over it.

She stood near the dressing table, looking at Juhi's picture intently. His words rang in her ears, "I am in love with you, Mrs Khanna."

She had ran away earlier when he said it. But he keeps telling her that wordlessly. "How could he love her?" It was the only question ruling her heart like a king since then.

Her chain of thoughts was broken when she heard the noise of the door locking. She instantly tried to push the picture inside the drawer but it fell down. Now, she clearly had no time to pick it up since he had already walked over to her.

She turned around immediately, covering the picture with her night gown. But he had already seen it. He bent down as she flickered her eyes shut, hoping it wasn't what she thought it is. For she was sure, he is the mastermind, ACP Neil Khanna!

The next moment, he got up with the picture in his hand, showing it out to her.

"Um. Actually, I - was j-just. No, uhm, I mean-" She tried making something up but got cut off by him, "Avni. What's bothering you? Tell me."

"Nothing." She mumbled, as she began walking towards the bed.

He tucked her wrist and pulled her back to him before keeping the picture on the dressing table. She landed smoothly on his chest, clutching onto his shirt at his shoulders.

Her breathe hitched as he began drawing random patterns near her waist over the cloth. "Neil" came out of her mouth as a mere whisper.

"Tell me." He spoke, barely audible. She shook her head. On that, she found herself scooped up in his arms as he kept her on the bed delicately.

Lying next to her, he pulled her closer, keeping her head near his heart, hugging her tighter. All the while, she did not protest and he took it as a positive sign.

A few moments of silence before she herself began speaking.

"How can you love someone like me?" She asked, her voice choking.

"Excuse me." He said as he bent down to face her. "I love 'you'. Not someone like you."

"Same." She mumbled.

"Okay. Why can't I love you?"

"Because you may get any other beautiful girl like Juhi. But I am just another ordinary girl with ordinary looks." She opened up, a tear rolling down her cheek.

"What looks are you talking about exactly?" He wanted her to speak more and be clear about what she felt.

She got up immediately hearing him. He followed, getting hold of her hand. It took just a soft nod and a blink of assurance from him for her to blurt everything out.

"You look at me? See, look at my forehead. Isn't it too broad? Whenever I have my hair covered, I feel like I am bald. My nose. It's crooked. Boys prefer straight noses. My eyes are just so small, you can't even look into them. My cheeks are just too chubby. My hair, they are neither wavy, nor straight and not even curly. They look like a combination of every type of hair. My eyebrows are too thin to be seen. About my lips, they are not the type that pretty girls have. I always have my nails trimmed, boys like long nails. My neck is too long. It doesn't even enhance my collar bone. My feet, even they are wider!"

She finally stopped, sighing. All this while, he had his eyes fixed over her face as she kept on speaking.

"Done?" He asked, softly. Nodding hesitantly, she looked down.

He lied her down and got half on top of her. Slowly leaning in, he kissed her forehead and then her hair. He pressed a lingering kiss on her left cheek and then the right one. Moving onto her nose, he pecked it softly as she closed her eyes in anticipation. Kissing her eyebrows and intentionally leaving her lips for the end, he held her hand as he placed a lingering kiss on her knuckles, his lips touching her nails.

He moved along the length of her neck, as he peppered soft kisses there, one after another. He traced the side of her waist, moving down as he got hold of her foot. She held his hand, stopping him but he shook his head. He slowly kissed her feet before pulling himself up again.

His gaze stopped on her lips as he leaned in. Her breathe shuddered and she got hold of his neck. Without wasting another second, he pecked her lips softly, again and then again before he finally looked up into her eyes only to find them filled with love and tears. He kissed both her eyes and rubbed away the tears.

"I just tried kissing away your insecurities beacuse all that you pointed out is all that I want to kiss forever."

She couldn't help the tears that rolled down her cheeks one after another. "I won't mind getting them kissed by you." She managed to say, smiling.

"How can you be so good, Neil? You did what no one could ever do just in two minutes!" Her voice trailed off but she managed to get hold of it.

He just smiled kissing her forehead once again. They looked at each other in silence before she finally said, a tint of playfulness visible in her eyes, "I am bad at hugging too."

He cackled before pulling her to him, as close as possible. She wishpered into his ear, "I have fallen in love with you Mr Khanna." And then, within seconds, his lips were on hers.
