"Don't you dare lay a finger on her!" Logan yells.

"Shut up and keep moving," a gruff voice replies.

"Rose! Rose, wake up!" Logan yells again, his feet scuffling against the ground.

"I said shut up!" the voice replies once again.

Rose's eyes flutter open, a man's face directly over her's, looking forward as he carries her in his arms. "What-what's going on?"

"Rose, thank God you're awake! Are you okay?" Logan voices out in concern.

"I'm fine," she says, turning to look at his face. "The question is: are you fine?" He had bruises on one of his cheeks, a long cut alongside the other. His eyes held exhaustion and desperation, but he kept trying to escape the man's grip.

"Of course I am. I'm Logan Terry!"

"And I'm the guy who's going to stab you in the chest if you don't shut up."

That shut Logan up quite quickly.

"Where are we?" Rose asks, grabbing the prison door bars and looking outside. All she saw were empty cells, save the one that her and Logan were in.

"How should I know?" Logan replies, pacing behind her. "All I know is that we need to get out of here."

Rose opens her mouth to retort, when the men come back, opening up the cell door and grabbing Logan by the back of his shirt. "No! Please, take me instead, don't take him!" Rose begs, grabbing his arm. Who knew what they were going to do to Logan? Torture him, dissect him, chop him up into bits; besides, she had come to welcome the boy's presence.

"Rose, just let go, I'll be fine," Logan replies calmly, trying to shake his arm out out of her grip, but to no avail.

"You heard the boy, girl. Let him go," the man says gruffly, pulling her arm back and shoving her back against the wall as they drag Logan out.

"Ugh!" Rose shrieks, banging her fists against the cell wall. What was she to do? They had taken away her bag, but she could see it from the cell door. It was sitting on a wooden desk by the entrance, no one even guarding it. Now the only problem is trying to find a way to get out of there.

"Guess what, Elton?" a guard calls out tauntingly. "You've got yourself a new cellmate." He walks into the room, dragging an unconcious boy with him, unlocking the cell door and dropping him to the floor. "Have fun."

The boy groans, rolling over on to his back as Rose rushes up to him and kneels down beside his body. Her hands hovered above him, not knowing what to do. "Are you okay? Can you hear me?"

The boy says nothing, and she decides to just leave him alone, standing up and sitting on the bed as she thinks. What did the scientists want with Logan? Were they going to experiment on him like they did to her? Or were they going to torture him for helping her? Oh, how Rose hated not knowing.

"Where am I?" she hears a voice groan next to her and she looks around, seeing the boy sitting up on the floor and rubbing the back of his head.

"You're in a prison cell at, and I'm guessing, the PL Institute," Rose replies, looking at him curiously. She supposed that he was attractive, in some sort of rugged kind of way.

"Oh," the boy responds, obviously unaware that she was here until now. "Hey. I'm Xander."

"Rose," she replies, still looking at him. "My friend, Logan, just got taken into the lab."

"So Rose, how do you propose we get out of here?" Xander asks her, immediately getting down to business after the introductions were made.

"I'm not sure," Rose replies, shrugging her shoulders. "They took away my backpack, and all I have are the clothes on my back and the bobby pin-" She stops, smacking the palm of her hand to her forehead. "God, I'm stupid! I could use this pin to pick the lock!"

She drags the pin out of her hair, walking over to the lock on the cell door and sticking the pin in.

"You know how to pick locks?" Xander asks warily.

"Of course," Rose replies just as the lock clicks open. "Well that was easy. Now it's just the matter of actually finding Logan and getting out of here." She walks out of the cell and turns back to look at him. "Are you coming or not?"

He simply smiles at her before following her out. When they pass the wooden desk, she grabs her bag from it, climbing up the stairs quietly and making sure the coast was clear before forging ahead.

Just as she turned a corner, she heard a voice call out, "Oh Rose, thank God you escaped!"

Rose froze mid-step, Xander's eyes widening as he stopped next to her. Why?

Because that voice wasn't Logan's.

You know, at first, I feel bad about ending at these like, suspenseful (*SP) endings. But then I think, "Ah, fuck it. I can laugh at their misery." And I do. @RedHawk_ and @LilySnape, your comments are hilarious xD
