BLOOD SISTERS - Jessa
Waiting patiently, I scroll at the document Detective Sails sent me. As his assistant, my job is to make his job lighter. That's why here I am, about to interrogate a said-to-be psychopath that had been in the hospital for ten long years. How did he expect me to get her to answer this stupid questions?
'Where are you on the night of July 27, 2004?', I read the first question in my mind.
She could've forgotten it, already. I mean, I don't even know where on I am in that same moment. Geez, let the girl be. What's with this Jessa Pern that had Sails all interested with and why wouldn't he figure it out for himself? I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in."
"She's ready." Said the nurse assigned to Jessa Pern.
"Okay."
Walking at the alley of the cell rooms I confronted emotions that I never, before, encountered. My heels are creating loud thuds as I walk.
"Ms. Paige!" said the nurse, Mrs. Robins. She stopped for a while, catching her breath.
"Wait Ms. Paige!"
"I'm in a hurry, Mrs. Robins." I replied without looking back at the old lady.
"I just want to say. . . be careful."
Now she caught my attention. I turn around.
"What-" But, she was nowhere in sight.
"Hello?" I looked around fro Mrs. Robins but found no one. "Mrs. Robins?!"
Okay, that was weird. I made a mental note to schedule a meeting with my psychiatrist. It's been a while since I had another hallucination. It usually accrues whenever I'm too happy, or sad . . . or even scared.
I continued walking, feeling vulnerable. Third isle on the left. This would be it.
I raised my hand, about to grasp the knob of the door when it opened. I gasp. I was greeted by a pale lady with messy hair in an old hospital gown. "Jessa Pern." I stated.
"In flesh." She replied. "have a seat, Detective..." she said, waiting for me to continue for her.
"Paige, Cynthia Paige." I introduced myself, putting the recorder on the table ans pressing the record button.
She gestured for the seat and settled on the chair opposite mine. " Let's make this quick, shall we? I have few questions, answer it and it'll be over." I looked at her, only to see her starring intently at me.
"What is it?" I asked, feeling conscious.
"Nothing, It's just that I'm expecting somebody to come, not you. Anyway, what do I have that you want to know?" she's probably referring to detective Sails who's suppose to be the one she's having a conversation right now and not me. If only he's not too lazy to do his job for himself.
Jessa Pern. If not for her hair, she could almost pass as a normal, thinking 27 year old lady, or I just don't know that much about her. That's what I'm here for, to ask her that. The questions. Oh! The questions. I almost forgot!
"Sorry about that."
"It's okey, I have all the time in the world." She said, smiling sweetly at me.

Horror"July 27, Was it?" she tugged a stray lock of hair at the back of her left ear, still smiling sweetly at me. "I've been asked that question for so many times now, it's actually irritating. But, really, I don't remember anything about the day, Paige...
