Noah was working his way around the bar, swirling past other drunk men. He shot a cheeky wink at a cute dirty blond with curly hair as he stumbled by. The man blushed and looked down at his drink, which only made him even more adorable. Sipping his cocktail, Noah drunkenly plopped himself down on a stool next to a drag queen.
Then the music stopped as the lights came on. It was so silent Noah could hear his heart beating as he looked around in confusion. Patrons stood up and quickly slipped out the back as multiple men wearing dark blue uniforms busted through the front doors and began barking orders.

Jack wasn't sure what inspired him to enter the bar. It was called Stonewall Inn Bar. While it wasn't the nicest gay bar in New York it was the closest to Jack's small apartment.
He flashed a fake ID at the bouncer and walked in with a nervous bounce in his step. He stopped by the bar to order a whiskey before sitting down at a table. He locked eyes with a tall man with dark, slicked back hair. The man winked at him causing Jack to turn red and look away. His eyes trailed the man, watching him sit down at the bar.
Jack froze when everything went silent and the lights came on. His question of whether or not this was normal was silenced when people started sneaking out the back.
Multiple police burst through the door causing Jack to fall out of his chair and scramble toward the door. He slipped out into the humid Friday night between two drag queens, yet came to a halt when he laid his eyes on the sight that awaited him and everyone else in that bar.
There were far too many police cars lined up outside. The officers were commanding everyone to disperse and go home. Jack had started to slip into the darkness when he saw a group of drag queens stand their ground. They lined up and glared at the officers. The police began to get forceful but everytime they broke up the crowd the drag queens returned, seemingly with more people.
Jack was perfectly content to watch from the shadows until the man from earlier took a place in the line. Jack wasn't sure why he suddenly felt his legs carry him over to the spot next to the man. The man looked down and smiled to which Jack returned a nervous grin.
His attention was ripped away from the man as three bangs rang through the air. Jack's head jerked around to find the source of the noises. He focused on the cop waving his gun around in the air and screaming at various people. Multiple officers started arresting people and pushing them into cars.
The officer that made the shots grabbed a woman's wrist and started handcuffing her when she faced the line of patrons and screamed, "Why don't you do something?!"
That's when a man with long, blond hair charged at the officer. They went tumbling to the ground as the woman gave the officer a swift kick to the stomach.
After that it was hopeless, crowds of crossdressers, transgender people, lesbians, and gay men tackled the other officers. The dark haired man next to Jack let out a cry as he sprinted into the crowd.
A cop screamed in Jack's direction and started moving toward him. Jack froze in terror as the officer drew nearer and nearer. He couldn't have been a yard away when the dark haired man made a reappearance and tackled the officer.
Jack stood and watched in horror as the dark haired man punched and kicked the officer until he passed out. The man stood up and looked down at Jack with a worried expression, "Are you alright?"
Jack nodded, "Think so."
"Good," the man looked around, "I should get out you out of here. No offence, but you don't seem like the fighting type."
Jack shook his head, "I think I'll just head home since my apartment isn't too far away."
"I'll walk you there," the man beamed.
