To the mere eye, Oregon might seem like just another state. Another plot of land with trees and animals, filled with people, who go about their everyday lives, not knowing the inner beauty

of the world around them. Well along the 13 years that is my lifetime, I've noticed. I notice when the sun hits the trees just right, and the shadow of the pine trees is stained upon the dewdroped filled grass. I notice the heavenly smell of fresh rainfall in the morning, and I notice the sound of nothing on a cloudy day, when the streets are empty and the plants lay dead on the frozen soil. But most of all, I notice the people. The peachy, freckle faced kids as they run in the park, I notice the couple that walk their dog in the morning down my street. I notice the bikers who spend their day hiking a trail, or the athletes who spend an afternoon shooting hoops with their buddy. The group who meets in the grassy field for a book club, or to just talk. The friendly people at the coffee shop down the road. The elderly man who, every morning greets people with a subtle 'hello' as he sits on his deck.

The cloudy, rainy weather is known in Oregon. The pine trees, and the cold mornings. But really. When you've seen everything, met everyone, and experienced everything in Oregon, you'll come to realize that the people here, are no forgettable than 2+2.
