Well, it's that time again. I wake up from my sleep because of the loud beeping noise coming from the right side of me. I turn over to see my phone sitting on my nightstand. I grab my phone and throw it towards the wall. Ugh, I hate mornings.
Time for work, great. I rip the blankets off of me and roll out of bed. I walk back over to my phone to see I cracked the screen. I turn off my alarm finally and set the device down on the window sill. I walk to the restroom and take a fast shower.
Showers always help me wake up. I get out and slide on my jeans, socks, a blue t-shirt, and a white coat. I walk into the kitchen to make my daughter some pancakes. I pull out the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt and start to mix them in a small glass bowl. Xyumni is the only person I would make pancakes for.
20 minutes later and the pancakes are done. I go into Xyumni's room and wake her up.
"Z, sweetie. Time for school."
I nicknamed her Z, I don't know why, but it seemed to be the only name that she liked me calling her after her mother passed away.
Xyumni wakes up and gives me a hug. We walk into the kitchen and she sits down on a barstool to eat her pancakes. I go back into the restroom and brush my teeth and hair. When I walk back to the kitchen she's already done eating.
"Dad! Help me brush my hair please!" she calls from the living room. I walk in there to see her sitting on a chair, ripping the life out of her hair. As she asks, I take the brush out of her hand and carefully comb through the matted areas. After I finish, I grab a scrunchie and put her hair in a braid.
Looking at her, I can tell she trusts me. Her back is facing towards me, and her hair is out of the way for the most part. She's sitting still. I could strangle her to death right now if I wanted to, but I don't want to, because I love her.
We finish getting ready and head outside. The smell of freshly cut wood is taking over the entire neighborhood. We go to the car and pull out of our driveway. I usually go the less busy way to Z's school, which is much faster. As we are driving I see a teenager jogging down the street. She was wearing a dark blue tank top and green and purple sporty shorts. Her tennis shoes were the same black color as her hair tie.
"Cover your eyes Z!" I shout before pressing on the gas. The teenage girl collapsed as soon as my car ran into her back. I felt as the car rolled over her body, crushing most of her bones. Once we passed her completely I look out the window. Her figure was covered in blood and scars from being dragged under the car.
Seeing her almost dead and in unbearable pain is so exciting. I laughed but quietly. I look back at Xyumni and see her eyes are still closed.
"Xyumni you can open your eyes now. We're going to be a little late for school, we have to wash our car, okay?" Xyumni opens her eyes and seems confused.
"Okay dad, but what happened? And why did I have to close my eyes?"
I'm good at making lies. I can make them fast too.
"Someone dumped their trash on the road again. And you had to close your eyes because I thought it was a dead animal at first, but it was just trash."
After the car wash, we drive up to her school. We were actually just on time, but I like getting there early so I guess I would still consider it late. Her teacher was standing outside waving at us. Xyumni unbuckles herself and gets out of the car. She gave her teacher a hug and walked inside the building. I go back on the road and start driving to my work building, the hospital. Once I get there I wave at my fellow doctors. One of the nurses come over to me with an angry face.
"I know you're hiding something, Mister Xyasane."
I laugh at her stupidity as I always do. She says this every single day and it's still annoying.
A different nurse calls me from a room. I go in there to see the teenager I ran over earlier.
"Don't worry, I got this!" I reply to the nurse, so she would leave. I look around and grab a needle. I fill it with a neon green liquid and stab her with it. She dies within 30 seconds.
"The girl didn't make it. Now I have to go to the other section of the hospital. If there's an emergency you can call me, okay?" I tell the other doctors while taking off my gloves. I go to the other part of the hospital, with locked rooms and people strapped to beds. Kind of like a mental hospital if you want to put it that way. I walk into a room with somebody sitting in it. This person wasn't strapped to a chair or bed because he wasn't really crazy. He just had a few mental illnesses.
"Thank God someone else is here with me! I was getting so lonely! I just need someone to talk to before I go crazy!" the man said.
"Noah, was it? Ok look, you are already crazy, crazy enough to be in this room. You just aren't insane." I reply to him. I put on a new pair of gloves and take out a needle.
"I need you to stay still, okay?" I fill the syringe with a pink goo and inject it into his arm. The passes out almost instantly, which wasn't supposed to happen.
I wasn't sure what to do, so I checked his pulse. He was barely breathing, and I tried to preform CPR, but it wasn't working. In a panic, I grabbed the now lifeless body and dragged it to my the car. I threw the body in the back seat, where Z usually sits. I slammed the door shut and turned around.
That bitchy nurse was behind me, staring at me with a smirk on her face. "Wow, Mr. Xyasane, never knew you were a serial killer."
I did what I had to do. I grabbed her by the neck and threw her on the ground, which caused her to injure her ankle, making it hard for her to get back up. I hurried into the car and turned it on. I heard her screaming for help, and I knew she would tell, so I put the car in reverse and ran her over.
Only a few minutes later, her breathing stopped completely. I had to leave her body there, I couldn't put another dead body in the back seat. I drove off before anyone noticed and decided to head to an area to dump this failed patient.
I remembered the perfect area, a small forest only 15 minutes away. I used to go to look for butterflies with Z there. I start heading that way, but not even 3 minutes later, I get a phone call.
"Is this the parent of Xyumni Xyasane?"
I already knew something happened to Z. I've never got a call like that, and Z is never sick, I take good care of her.
"Your daughter got in a fight today. Another girl went up to her and pulled her out of her seat by her hair."
Fuck. I rushed over to Z's school, going 85 in a 55 zone. I loved my little Z, and nobody would hurt her like that. I was so worried about Z I completely forgot about the body in the backseat.
Arriving at the school, I remember. "Shit." It's too late now, I might as well pick up my daughter.
I park away from the school and walk towards the building, hoping nobody would see the blood on the rims of my tires. I walk in the building and head to the principal's office.
"Who hurt my daughter?" I said, my voice cracked, but I was experiencing the most anger I've ever felt.
"I cannot tell you, but they're taking care of it."
The principal was a douchebag, thinks his family is the best around. I can't stand to look at his dumb face and that bitchy mustache.
"I asked you a fucking question, who?"
Z never heard me swear, I watch my language around her always. But that pissed me off. I turn to Z and ask her.
"Who hurt you? I'm gonna fucking murder them."
I didn't realize what I said until it already came out. The scumbag principal wasn't listening, so I guess I'm safe.
Z told me who it was, first and last name, which class, all that good stuff. All I had to do was take her name and look it up, then I could find her parents and everything. I grabbed Z's hand and ran to the car. She went to the backseat and saw the kid, which I had already forgot about once again.
"Dad, why is there a dead man back here?"
"Z, he's not dead, he's sleeping."
"Dad, don't lie to me. I know he's dead, like the girl you ran over."
How did she know?
Her eyes were closed, right?
I just stared down at the concrete. I had a loss for words. Z wasn't supposed to know that I kill. She would never love me the same. I wanted to bust my car window, I was just upset at myself.
As I started up the car, I looked back at Z, who seemed pretty calm in this situation.
I drove out of the parking lot and started to go home, I figured it would be pointless for me to dump the body now.
"Dad, you know I love you, right? I love you even if you're a killer."
I look back at Z, who's smiling for some reason. "Thank you Z, that means a lot. I love you too."
As we arrived at the house, I noticed that Z was sleeping, but something else was moving around.
It was that stupid fucking dude! I thought he was dead!
I look back at him and slam on the breaks. He mumbles something, probably because he's still waking up and in pain. I park the car and hop out. I opened the car door on the side that the boy was on, and grabbed him by the neck to pull him onto the ground.
Fuck.
As soon as he falls to the ground. I start stomping on his chest and stomach, crushing his ribcage and organs.
Soon enough, he died. I dragged his body into the woods nearby, and when I started walking back, Z was staring at me.
"He's dead, isn't he?"
I don't answer, I just grab her hand and go inside. She was really tired, so within 30 minutes she was asleep.
I decided I could convince her it was all a dream now. At 11:54 pm, I start cleaning the car and pavement on the driveway. I finish by 12:10 am.
Next, I walked to the area I dumped the body, which I arrived at 12:14 am.
I grabbed the body and put it in a plastic bag, then made my way back to the car at 12:23 am.
I put the corpse into the backseat and drove to a different area about 13 minutes away, where I put the body.
Finally, at 12:52 am, my plan was finished. I went to my room and went to sleep.
Next morning, I went to make Z breakfast before she woke up. I decided to not take her to school because I don't want that girl to hurt her again.
Z wakes up and walks into the kitchen quietly. "Good morning Z! How did you sleep?"
She appeared confused, most likely wondering why I seem so nice and friendly now.
"Dad, did you kill someone?"
"Sweetie, why do you think that?"
"Dad, can we go to where you put the body? So I know you didn't kill them?"
"Sure thing Z, we can go anywhere you want."
We eat breakfast, and then she starts to slip some shoes on. "Cmon dad! Let's go see!"
I put my shoes on and we start walking where she wants us to walk. I wasn't really paying attention, because I knew the body wasn't there. I remember walking for a really long time, just staring at the ground. I felt like when I walked last night it wasn't this far away. When I look back up, I was shocked to see she dragged me to the other area that I dumped the body to hide it from her! "Look dad, there it is."
I stared in confusion. How did she know that I moved the body? She was asleep!
"A magician never tells their secrets."
