I had been looking for Jason for 20 minutes already. I looked everywhere. Cabin 1, the Big House, the training arena, I asked Percy, Frank, and Nico. He was no where to be found. I was looking in the woods worried out of my mind about Jason when I heard moaning and panting coming from behind a bush. I started walking to the bush slowly. I crouched down behind the bush and peaked a tiny bit through the leaves. Through them I saw a familiar blonde and a certain raven haired praetor making out. When I saw his electric blue eyes and her purple cloak, I thought, Jason and Reyna?
I couldn't believe it!! My Jason was making out with Reyna when he had a girlfriend! And especially when I was his girlfriend, and here I was, watching this disturbing yet heartbreaking scene, play in front of me. I choked back a sob. Tears running silently down my face. I started crawling back to camp, hopping they didn't hear me. As soon as I thought I was out of sight from those two, I got up and ran for Cabin 10. I ran inside, looked the door, and started crying my eyes out. Luckily, there was no one in my cabin, so I was alone, and free to do whatever.
How could Jason do this to me?! I thought he loved me, he said I was his one and only? But, why?? I thought he didn't have feelings for the Roman praetor! The more I thought about it, the harder I stared crying. I was lying on my bunk, shivering and wetting the pillow with my tears. Just then the horn blew for dinner. I got up and looked in the mirror. My eyes were red and puffy from crying so much. My shirt was stained with tears, and my hair was a mess. I cleaned my face and tried to make it look like I was fine. I changed my shirt from a camp shirt to a red hoodie with gray tank top under and brushed my hair. I then looked at myself one last time and headed out the door. I walked to the pavilion and sat next to Lacy in the Aphrodite table. I said nothing the whole time and looked down at my food while eating slowly. Lacy looked at me with a confused look on her face.
"Are you okey Piper?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."
She looked at me some more and asked in a soft tone,
"Wanna talk about it"
I shook my head no. She nodded and kept on eating. After dinner we went to the campfire. I sat with my half siblings and saw Jason staring at me. I could tell he was waving his hands around, wanting me to look at him. But I paid no attention. I look down at the dirt and grass and listened to the song everyone was singing.
"Piper. Piper! Pipes!"
I didn't know what to do. So I just sat there, staring at the main singer. A son of Apollo was singing. Then I met a pair of gray eyes and knew who it was. Annabeth was signaling for me to sing along. I considered this. I don't like drawing attention but, it would distract me from my problems I loved singing anyway. So i started singing along with the other campers. Everyone was staring at me, shocked. I met the son of Apollos blue eyes and he smiled at me. He motioned for me to sing louder. I did and so did he. Our voices mixed together and we sang in harmony. When we finished, everyone stared at us in awe. Then they started clapping and whistling.
"Thank you Piper and Tyler for that amazing performance," said Chiron while clapping.
"Well, goodnight to everyone and sweet dreams." Said Chiron before galloping away.
Tyler approached me and said, "That was AMAZING!! Your voice is beautiful! Piper, right? Well, thanks for singing with me, goodnight!!" And with that he left to his cabin. I got up and started heading to the Aphrodite cabin, when all of a sudden someone grabbed my arm and pulled me into a kiss. I pulled alway and looked up to see, Jason. He looked really confused.
"Why did you pull away? Are you okey?"
"Oh, umm, look, I'm tired, ok? So I-"
"Pipes, what happened, you can tell me, ok?" He kissed me again and I tried to push away, but he wouldn't let go of me. Leo probably noticed because he came up to us, and pulled Jason apart from me.
"Bro, chill. She's tired and you can't force her to kiss you."
"Thanks Leo," I said and started walking faster to my cabin.
"Piper wait for me!" Shouted Leo and ran over to me. He rapped his arms around my waist and made me stop walking.
"Whats wrong? R u mad at me? What happened with Jason? R u guys cool or, what?"
"Leo, can we go somewhere private? Please?"
"OK" And he carried me bridal style to Bunker 9. On the way there, I got cold and wrapped my arms around Leo's neck and put my head in the crock of his neck. When we got inside, we sat on the coach Leo built the other day. I told Leo about me going into the woods and telling him what I saw. Then I broke down crying. He came over to me and hugged me. He comforted me and said it was ok. He also started making up things he was going to do to Jason. He said, "No worries Princesa, next time I see him, le voy a agarar a chingazos a ese pendejo por meterse contigo!" And then he kissed my head and got comfortable on the coach and started stroking my hair. My eyes started feeling heavy, and started closing. But before I could fall asleep, I said,
"Thank you Leo, and goodnight." And fell asleep.
