The trainer peered through the glass windows of his suite. The familiar islands of the hoenn region were finally in sight.

He was just coming home from a long trip to the Kalos region where he had a conference with the most powerful trainers from across the regions where they discussed about trainers having affairs with their pokémon.

It first popped up on the news a few months ago when a trainer was caught kissing his gardevoir near a park. As there were no laws about incudents such as that during that time, or even now, the trainer wasn't charged with anything. But alot of people were furious at the decision of the officer in charge saying it was "Beastiality and should've been punished." While the others believed it was an "Intimate relationship between two lovers."

As the public uproar started, the ones in charge were forced to make a decision, either ban or allow trainer and pokémon relationships. The choice would be made by votes from the Elite Four, the champion, the previous champion and the pokémon professor. They were all given half a year to decide on their votes before an official hearing is held.

He was never one to look down upon odd relationships between people, which is why he believed that it should be allowed. Pokémon are smart creatures, some even smarter than the brightest human minds, they are capable of emotions and deciding for themselves, they aren't dumb creatures whose sole purpose is to be captured and used.

The roar of the boat's engine snapped him off his train of thoughts. He shook his head and rubbed his temples. This whole poképhila thing or whatever they call it was giving him a headache. But atleast now he can finally rest at home.

It was afternoon already when they reached, and the sun was about to set. Not one step off the boat and he was suddenly greeted by a group of girls in their twenties. "O.M.G HIIII! Can we get your autograph?" One the girls squealed. "Omg I can't believe I got to meet Hoenn's champion in real life!!" The other one exclaimed while vigorously shaking his hand. "Can we get a photo?" The third one asked while handing him her phone. He sighed inwardly and put on a fake smile just to get them to leave. "Holy crap, thank you soooo much!" The girls finally left, chatting amongst themselves.

The champion hailed a cab and rode home. All he could think about was getting home and relax with his pokémon. He couldn't care less about the voting that would take place in about six months. The cab stopped infront of a small pokémart. He was glad it wasn't a long drive, it only took about 10 minutes and he didn't even have to pay the fare, gotta love those champion privilages. He had to walk the rest of the way home as it was quite a distance from the city outskirts.

He finally stopped infront of a metal gate with a moderately sized two-storey house and a large yard behind it. Home atlast. He fished his keys out of his pants and unlocked the gate. He doesn't wear anything fancy, just casual clothes suit him best. The gate creaked open with enough noise to let anyone home know he was back. Which in turn led him to immediately be tackled by something red and fluffy right as he opened the front door.

"Blaaaze!" The Blaziken stated as it pushed the champion onto the grass outside. "Hm?... Ah shit I forgot to turn it on again." The champion pressed a button on the device on his ear and a tiny blue light came on meaning it was active. The device was a gift from professor willow, it was a prototype pokétranslator that he made for him when he completed the national pokédex.

"You're finally back! A female voice said as the Blaziken said as it got off the champion. "Yep, the meeting took longer than I expected." He explained as he dusted off his clothes. "Sorry about that." The Blaziken said while scratching its head. "It's okay, I've missed you too Veronica." He said as he gave the Blaziken a hug. She rested her head on his shoulders as she hugged him back.
