Calling It School Life

Yemisi in her graduation cap and gown looked at the audience. All of her friends watched, family and all who were with her since the beginning of Secondary Watched in silence as she took the microphone.

"Friends, family, Teachers and all my well-wishers. You all are all here to see smiling faces, but you don't know what those faces go through or have gone through in the past years." She removed the microphone from the stand.

"I have no speech prepared as the Valedictorian of this ceremony. im here to voice out all our emotions as a whole. They call it School life but it has taken apart all of us. They said we'll learn and we learned the hard way and some of us are here today." She paused. "Our story started to change as we began, but I see the full effect now." She stared around.

"This Journey started and ended, but everyone was affected, some not even able to make it." 

The speech Yemisi gave deserved a standing ovation which people gave her, but when she got home, she remembered all the events leading up to that time.
