"Reality is often disappointing"

Peter couldn't believe that the Tony Stark, Ironman, was dead. He couldn't be, it simply wasn't possible. Maybe he was dreaming, or Mr. Stark was tricking him. That had to be what was going on, he wasn't, gone. He would be back by the weekend, and Peter would go to his internship, and everything would be normal. Thanos and the snap would have never happened.

Peter walked away from Tony, who was alive, and heard Clint talking to his wife on the phone. He moved closer and heard Clint talking about Nat. "I just, *sob* can't believe she's, *sob* gone."  At first, Peter had no clue who Clint was talking about, but his tired brain soon caught up with him. Natasha Romanoff. The Black Widow, was dead. Not possible. maybe she disappeared like Tony did. They probably had a secret plan to trick everyone. That's what was happening.

A week after the battle, all the Avengers got the news that Steve Rodgers had died. Apparently he had gone back in time to return the stones, but stayed in the past. He turned old and then came back to this reality. Peggy had died and Steve had gotten cancer, so he came back to see his old friends one last time. Peter simply couldn't believe it. How could a super soldier get cancer. It must be a trick. Steve was in on the trick.

The first time Peter had met Tony Stark was at his Expo. It was before the Battle of New York, and before Ben died. Peter was about 4, so he didn't really know who Stark was, but Ben had. Ben admired Tony Stark, because Ben could see the good and potential in everyone. May wasn't a huge fan, but because Ben, Peter's hero, had liked Ironman, so did Peter. When Ironman had saved his life, although he didn't know it at the time, Ironman became Peter's next hero.

Natasha Romanoff was the most hidden Avenger. Everyone loved Thor, or Hulk, because they knew things about them. So Peter had decided to find out as much about her and love her like the others. At first, it was unfruitful, but after the events of D.C., with all the stuff dumped on the internet, her found a lot about the person called Black Widow. When he finally got to meet her at the airport, it was a dream come true, and he told her so. She looked, honored? She was a hard person to read, but she was still his hero.

Steve Rodgers was the opposite hero to Tony Stark, but quite similar to Peter, according to Tony Stark. Peter still liked him, but not above Tony Stark. He never quite met him, but Steve was also from New York, so that was cool. After the battle, Steve and Tony maybe went on a mission. Peter never was told that part of the story. Then, Steve became an outlaw for not signing the Accords, but then again, neither did Peter. So Steve was a hero to Peter as well.

A couple nights later, Peter had a dream. He would never think of it as a dream, but as reality. It was the first step into his happy ending, and disaster.
