Modern Seven Deadly Sins is not something I've tried yet, but people seem to really like Jericho and Ban!!
Ban's POV
"Settle down now, you little assholes," Ban said. He stretched his hands, sore from grading assignment after assignment. As usual, Gowther had gotten excellent scores, while Meliodas seemed to get stellar grades without studying at all. That was probably due to Elizabeth helping him. Diane, King, and Elaine studied together in a group after school. But there was one girl who wasn't studying...
He nudged his glasses down, looking at the girl. She looked down at her papers, swishing her lavender hair to the side. She seemed to be upset recently, coming back from the bathroom with puffy red eyes. She'd always willfully deny the other students questions, waving them off and squinting at the board to jot down what she missed.
He felt her gaze on his back whenever he was teaching his students. Maybe she was mad he could never remember her name.
Jericor?
Jarbo?
"Jerbicho?"
No one answered.
"Jar Jar Binks?"
"God, no! It's Jericho, Sensei!"
She stood up and walked to his desk, peering at her grades. Her face fell.
"You haven't been doing well on your grades. And it seems like something else is bothering you too."
"N-nothing is bothering me!" she said, rubbing her neck anxiously. Her cheeks turned the color of a sunset pink and her lower lip trembled. He hoped she wouldn't cry; that would look bad on his end.
"Am I gonna fail? Finals is coming up and I don't know how to study."
Ban scratched his head, leaning backwards in his chair. He contemplated his options. She seemed well liked, but that didn't mean she liked the other students. In fact, it seemed like she was too prideful to ask her fellow students for help. It was his responsibility to support his student.
"I'll tutor you, okay? But we won't waste any time chit chatting about useless things. I'm a busy man, got it?"
The corners of her mouth pulled up in a shy smile.
"That sounds really good to me."
