Triathlon Pt.3 (Laura, Mahiru, Yume, Ako)

Previously...

"Mahiru, go get a drink. Then meet us at the first running station." Laura said.

Mahiru nodded then left. Together, Laura and I walked to the next station.

Ako POV

When Mahiru slapped my hand, I sprinted off. Even if I'm in the middle, it doesn't mean I shouldn't go my fastest. I saw the biker from the team before when I was getting ready. She asked me if I've seen her partner, and I said she was still swimming. What a pity, still swimming after 5 minutes, oh my god, I'm so mean! Obviously, I didn't say that out loud. 

My fastest for biking a mile during training was 4 minutes, and 30 seconds. I'm kinda hoping to shave the time down to 3 minutes, that would be awesome. Oh, look! There was someone in front of me, maybe I can go in front of them. If I do, that means we're past the two teams before us!

Yume POV

Both Laura and I know, that Ako was not gonna take long. Her time during practice was like 4 minutes long, and she's probably gonna improve. So when we got to the first running station, Laura immediately got ready. There were two girls there, probably from the teams before.

"Laura, do you think we can win?" I asked.

"Of course we can! These races can go down to the millisecond, so don't slack off at all!" Laura said. 

"And Laura, you better not let my Onee-chan beat you."

We turned around, there was Mahiru. 

"Sure won't Mahiru!" Laura said, "Did you get a drink?"

"Ya, I did."

"That sure was quick."

"I don't want to miss Ako coming in." 

"About that." Laura pointed, Mahiru and I traced our eyes to where she was pointing at. There was Ako running full speed to Laura. Laura got ready, with the baton in her hand. Mahiru and I immediately went out of the way, so we wouldn't get hit. 

Ako ran with full energy to Laura, slapping her hand. Then Laura took off.

"Go, Laura!" I yelled.

"Don't let Onee-chan beat you!" Mahiru yelled.

"You got this Laura," Ako said breathlessly, leaning over her knees. It was obvious that she was used up all her energy.

Laura POV (Short)

As soon as Ako slapped my hand, I sprinted off. I could hear the others cheering for me. I wonder if I could beat anyone who was in front of me. Who knew a triathlon could be so much fun?

Yume POV

"That was fast Ako," I said, looking at her.

"Of course it was. What do you expect from me? I even dropped a minute!" She said smiling.

"Nice job! Go get a drink!" Mahiru said.

"Let's get going to the next running station. Meet you there?" I asked.

"Yup!" Ako nodded.

Mahiru and I walked over to the last station. I was gonna run this last mile. It took us about 5 minutes to get there. It was father away since it was technically 1 mile away from the last station but on a different path.  Running a mile will take longer than biking a mile, probably two times the time. When Ako got here, she was holding a water bottle. 

"Where did you get that?" I asked since all of us forgot to bring water bottles. We're so smart.  

"Ummm, just a friend." She said blushing.
