Hey guys so this is my first story on wattpad..I just changed the first chapter from what I had before. Its just a little before the story that I began here. Lemme kno what you guys think. Enjoy :)

The room was almost completely dark, albeit a dim light filtering in from the outside casting a faint orange glow throughout the room.

I shivered slightly as I stood by the window...waiting.

The bed covers were draped over my shoulders awkwardly, and I pulled them closer, the warm fluff of the covers grazing my jawline. I took a step back from the window, afraid that theywould see me. I winced as the sudden crackling sound of the old wood-board filled my ears, the small noise horrendously intensified in the deadly silence.

A small draft blew through the silent night, carrying a set of dancing leaves with it. That ghastly wind intruded into the room through the small gap in the windowpane. I shivered again.

Damn, it was too cold outside, but I still stood there...at my window...waiting.

Yet, who was I waiting for, what was I waiting for? I did not know. But one thing was for sure: there was someone out there, in the deep dark night, waiting for me.

I shook my head, wanting to clearing my head of the disturbing thought that was slithering through my head and my body like a snake's venom.

The idea that someone out there, some man out there was lurking around the woods, searching for me was just downright absurd. As much I wanted to laugh off at that ridiculous idea, there was some part of my conscience warning me that this was not a laughing matter.

I glanced at my watch. It was already 11;45; I had been lingering around my now frosty window for a dreadful 2 hours, waiting for my pursuer.

I looked back at my own reflection in the icy glass door. A pair of large tired eyes glared back at me, and a small heart shaped face draped with long brown hair came into focus. I was definitely deprived of sleep for not for one, but three long nights.

And it was at this point that I could no longer hold in my lassitude as a series of yawns escaped through my mouth.  "That's it!" I whispered furiously, "I'm off to sleep, No one is watching me, dammit." I scrambled back to my bed, draping my covers behind me. It was going to be a hideously long night and I was unwilling to admit it.

Throwing the pillow over my head, I prayed that sleep would take over me. Yet, I was only blessed with countless minutes of tossing and turning. Pulling my hand out of the covers, I grabbed the phone form the bedside table...still 11:47. Shit its August 17th... I let out a small sigh as I remembered that I even put up a reminder for 12:00...I wouldn't want to forget her birthday...again.

Just as I was about to turn the alarm off, I heard a small creaking noise, and stilled immediately, my breath getting caught in my throat. A sudden blast of cold air filled the room, and I didn't dare open my eyes, afraid to face the danger that lay ahead.

Surely, I wasn't hallucinating! The noise was getting louder...the sound of fingers scratching a chalkboard... and a fresh set of goosebumps adorned my body. I lightly raised my covers, ever so subtly.to glance at my window.

"Fuck" I wishpered, the blood draining from my face. I had undoubtly closed my window before "retiring" to sleep, I can swear my life on it. Then, how was it open now? The unpleasant sound of fingers running again and again on a chackboard rang in my ears as a set of fingers, with a deathly grip on the window, pushed it further up. Someone was getting into the room.

The fingers were pushing the window even further up, and it wouldnt be long before the window was fully open. I sat up, my body rigid, getting ready to bolt from the room, whenever chance permitted. Before, I had the time to ponder, a hard rigid hand came from behing, roughly cupping my mouth.

I supressed the blood curling scream that threatened to erupt from my chest, as my head was being turned. And I was looking at my pursurer eye to eye.
