Wolves of the Glacier

The wolves leapt into action, attacking Casper with all their force. The poor horse let out a piercing whinny and flared his nostrils as he tried to fight the raging army of unified furry soldiers. We tumbled off his back, and his legs gave way. He crumpled to the ground, blood oozing from all the fresh wounds upon his dappled coat. Zoe screamed, and tears streamed from her eyes. I tried to hold on to her wrist, but she shook me off, and went straight to the wolves. They didn't attack her, but merely swatted her aside with their huge paws and tails. It pushed her all the way back to a tree, curled like a talon uprooted from the pits of hell. I immediately tried to run to her aid, but the rabid wolves circled me. The cloaked hunters regally made their way over to Zoe, taking their sweet time about it.

"Hurry! She's going to pass out if you don't do something!"

"Don't fret, humble peasant girl. She will live. In the castle, with us"

"No! She must've left for a reason!"

"We will, fix her. Make her normal again"

"Normal? She's perfect as she is!" I could feel anger welling in my chest, my eyes clouding with tears of anguish and pain.

"She's not normal." Her calm tone only infuriated me even more.

"Normal is a myth!"

"Normal is what a girl should be. As well as dainty, poised and polite."

"Normal is BORING!" I screamed as loud as I could. I felt like all the build up rage from my life was echoing through the forest all around us. The next thing I knew, I was lying sprawled in the ground, the glowing lights flickering out, the infinite darkness slowly coming closer. My eyes blinked open, and I saw a tall blonde man towering over me. Then, he transformed into a lady I was familiar with. My demon 'mother'.
