Soo here is the first story I'm posting on here. I hope you like :) This is only the prologue though!
Prologue
We laid in the dry grass, his head resting on my tummy as we looked up at the sky in a comfortable silence. As I looked at the clouds and the cool breeze hit my face, an idea for a new song came to mind. The melody of the non-existing guitar filled my mind as I closed my eyes and thought of lyrics for the music that had made its way into my head.
“Emilia, are you alright?” He asked, shifting his position so he was propped on his elbows, looking at me.
As his voice brought me back from my inner thoughts and I saw his concerned and confused gaze, I realised the deep frown I had as I was struggling to come up with the chorus for the new song.
“I am.” I said with a reassuring smile. “I just can’t seem to get any lyrics out of my head lately and it’s…” I trailed of as he looked at me with his breathtaking grin.
“It’s because of the holidays, isn’t it?” He asked, the scowl forming on his face, replacing his lovely smile.
“No…” I said, turning away from him, not wanting him to see that I was hurting. But he knew me too well. He sat up bring me to sit on his lap.
“You never did tell me why you hate Christmas and New Year’s parties.” He said, placing a strand of my messy auburn hair behind my ear.
“I just don’t.” I said, chocking a little on the sob that threatened to escape my throat. “I stood up, bringing him up with me. “They’re stupid and pointless.” I started walking towards the car parked on the curb, while the small snow flakes started falling from the gray sky. “You coming?” I said to him without turning back to look at him wiping away the one tear that I had let fall from eyes.
