'y/n!' Mother shouted as I slipped on my socks and shoes. 'Father is waiting in the car! Hurry love' she grinned at me as I skidded down the slithering staircase with my suitcase and extras. 'I love you mum, goodbye!' I mumbled through clenched teeth.
° In the car °
'So, you excited sweety?' Father asked. I didn't reply, I just continued to stare out the glossy window. I didn't want to admit it, but I was scared. I didn't know if I'd be bullied or popular, or even admired. I was never used to popularity. At school I was teased for having long, dirty sweatpants and small, ugly t-shirts which hardly covered sweat stains. Our family was very poor. They were sending me to this camp, rim of the earth or whatever it was called, so they could calm down a bit. Suddenly, I was plunged from my thoughts, as we had just arrived.
° Welcome to Rim Of The World, adventure camp. °
'Hello, and welcome to Rim Of The World adventure camp! And you are... y/n, am I right?' A dark toned man greeted me. My father started a conversation with him. I was relieved, because I was shy. I ushered my father a little closer to me, and told him I was going to sign myself up and find my bunk and rest. He nodded, and continued his conversation. I dragged my suitcase to a wooden cafeteria, filled with children and their families. Sweet, this seems chill. I couldn't wait to find my bunk and rest. A girl Infront of me, probably about 14 or 15, looked at me with an your-so-annoying look. 'Uh.. Hi?' I stuttered. She turned away, her black pigtails whipping me in the face. Rude, I thought, but okay. As soon as I had signed up, the man gave me a cabin number, I thanked him and headed towards my cabin. I layed down and threw my suitcase with my luggage inside to the edge of my bunk. I closed my eyes and drifted off...
