Why?

The start

She was always happy. Now she's broken. Almost everyone was friends with her. Now she has only one. Emerald was the normal popular girl everything was fine. Then her father killed her mother. "Daughter of a killer" "Monster's daughter" "Orphan" people called her. Her friends slowly disappeared. The only one that stayed was  Paege(pronounced Page) Norris. Paege is  very peppy and happy and might be a little insane. Emerald once told her dad that she wasn't okay but, he just walked away. She had lost the little twinkle of hope she had left. She knew everything was going down hill. During the summer before going back to school she was always wearing long sleeves to cover her cuts. No one ever noticed. When she went back to school a rumor went around that she had sex with Blaze Contina. Then the names started rolling in. "Slut" "whore" "Thot" the more they said the more cuts covered her arm. She had carved those words into her arm. One day she walked up to the roof and jumped. People watched in horror, as their classmate attempted to kill herself. A teacher called an ambulance. The doctors were able to save her. She had no regret. For a couple weeks she was on suicide surveillance. When she got back to school the names continued. She just put her earbuds in while the kids around her shouted "orphan" "freak" "slut" "attention seeker". She knew she wasn't going to make it long but, decided to stay for a while. Paege was waiting right at Emerald's locker waiting  seeing as before she came back to school Paege was always at her side.
