I remember rolling around due to the feeling of being watched. Sitting up in a dark room is so confusing especially when the only light coming in from the alarm clock that is across the room. Concerned I dropped my two feet to the ground feeling for the lamp. Damn, I thought, where is it. Not able to find it, I rolled around only to find a shadow like a figure above my bed. It wasn't a dream I was awake. Looking down at me with red eyes I shouted: "what do you want from me." The thing the hideous ugly thing disappeared. Morning came around the corner quicker than a mouse. My parents were already awake, I could tell by the smell of sausage egg and cheese biscuits. But I wasn't in the mood for food, I wanted to know what that thing was in my room last night. I approached mom and dad with a scared smile. "Sweetie what's the matter", my mom asked in a concerning voice. "Mommy Daddy I saw something terrifying last night", I replied. It was in my room and it was scary. But my parents did not have the patience for the nonsense they would say. "It was just a dream", my dad would say. It's been six years now and I still wonder was it dream. No, it wasn't, It was real.
