The Guitar
What is a guitar?
A guitar is a flat-bodied instrument
With a long-fretted neck and six strings.
It sounds joyful as you strum
Each note into different songs.
The music flows from your fingertips.
There are acoustic and electric guitars.
They can easily take you to a different
World, when in reality you're sitting
In your cluttered room.
The thousand thrashing thoughts leave you.
Guitars transport music from
Your soul to your fingers.
You can feel the rhythm without
Thinking about the chords or the strumming.
The music is magical to your magestic ears.
There is a specific sound for the guitar.
If not tuned correctly, it may sound
Like sharp plastic singing in your ears.
But through all the good and the bad,
It will always be there when you are sad.
That is a guitar.
