Her eyes took on a look of helplessness. "Why? What have I done?"

"You've healed."

Olivia looked hurt. "Isn't that a good thing?"

I held her hand. "Yes. But am I just a shoulder to cry on or your husband whom you love?"

"I love you with all my heart, Tim. I thought you knew that." She reached up to kiss me.

I let her, feeling her soft lips on mine and the warmth they always bring. Her arms wrapped around my neck and she rose up on her toes, changing the angle and her kiss became fiercer and more passionate.

My arms hung at my sides and my eyes were open. Hers were closed, her eyelids thin and small veins pulsed across them. I watched her hair fall down her back and around her face, sleek as a curtain.

Olivia pulled back and looked at me. "I love you." She whispered.

Light glanced off her engagement and wedding rings on her finger into my eyes, and the inscription burned across my vision as I remembered it.

I love your light and darkness alike.

She had her moments, dark and light. But I loved her too, and if she loved me that was enough;

"I'm sorry. I love you too Olivia, more than anything."

Surely it was enough.
