So, it turns out that the excitement didn't just end at the bar.
If the guy the criminals just hit with their hijacked red sports car had anything to say about it.
"We go out for one lousy drink and you guys somehow manage to pick a fight with Boba Fett."
Marigold made a mental note to ask Snart about who that was later. For now, she had much bigger problems to focus on.
Flying out of the ship came a man on fire and the metal suit she saw the night she met all these people. The two were shooting laser beams and actual fire at the unknown guy, keeping him away from the ship.
Rip and some strange guy hid behind some metal object, watching the scene from a distance. The two hawk people were flying high in the sky, keeping their distance from the shots and only swinging in and attacking whenever they had a chance.
Mari and the rest made a run towards the ship, hoping to get out of this situation with everything still intact.
Mari hurried over towards the main room, quickly taking a seat and pulling the metal contraption over her head. Rip jumped the legends to another time period, hurrying so that his precious ship didn't take any extra damage.
"Our cloaking shield and aft entrance have been significantly compromised, Captain."
"Yes, I an see that, Gideon. Station us in the temporal zone while I work on repairs." Rip left his chair after making sure the ship was stabilized.
Mari and the others began to leave their seats, happy enough not to be stuck in the uncomfortable chairs.
"Temporal zone?"
"Yeah. It's essentially a time limbo. We can hide out for a bit. Another temporal jump would risk revealing our position." Rip grabbed a bag from the backroom and seemed hurried to get some work done.
"A time limbo? Astonishing."
"Oh, there's something you people don't know about time travel? That's surprising, isn't it? Considering none of you have ever time traveled before." He made his way towards a broken part of the ship, sarcasm and anger rising in his voice as he spoke to the quite legends. "Bringing a family member from the past onto a timeship? Breaking out and carousing around the 1970s? We've barely begun, and already this is the worst, unmitigated disaster of my career."
As he turned around, hawk girl, Kendra - Mari is still trying to learn everyone's names - punched Rip in the face and watched as he fell. Mick and Marigold laughed at the show of violence.
After picking him up and slamming the man into the broken ship, Kendra yelled harshly, "My son is hurt because of you. Who attacked us?"
If that old man is there son, don't doesn't really make much of a difference. Rip said beforehand that this guy was gonna die so it's most likely gonna happen no matter what they do to save him. And then, from what I've seen, he only got hurt when he was brought to the ship. So, it's actually her fault that her son got hurt. But that's just my opinion.
"Something of a long story."
"We've got time," Mari spoke from her seat, watching the scene unfold before her eyes. She could hear Ottie chuckling at her joke, but it looks like the others either didn't get it or just didn't care.
"Better tell it fast, Rip, 'cause it doesn't look like the lady's in a patient mood."
"Neither am I." Hawkman - Mari couldn't be bothered to remember his name - stalked closer to where his girlfriend and the confronted man stood, wanting answers himself.
