So far that I can remember my family wasn't exactly fond of me, but not to the point of beatings. I was usually the one to be sent out to get things for the house like laundry soap, minor groceries, and other things. It was barely my brother got the things told by our mother. Today wasn't the best though as I held macaroni and cheese boxes in my arms with my music blasting. Before I crossed the road, my mind didn't have time to tell myself that there was a semi coming my way. My eyes closed but opened then I felt lighter only to see my body on a road just surrounded by people but way smaller than I remember. In realization of one of my phobias; I yelped then clung to whatever was holding me "Careful!" a voice yelled. My eyes looked up only to see a gown covered angel with only one set of wings but they only kept staring in amazement.
On the way there or to whatever place this angel was taking me wings suddenly burst from my back. They were different from his. There was one cream colored angel wing but the other was a black bare one. The angel looked down in disgust then dropped me to the ground. The sky quickly transitioned from a beautiful turquoise color to an equally magnificent red. My eyes darkened while I landed on the ground but I looked around to find my way through the grey palace.
Each demon that I looked at ran away in fear "What is happening...?" I asked myself as I stood.
My legs started walking while the wings dragged behind; but, soon after chasing demons that ran, I made it to a throne with a man sitting on top. Terrified, I tried stepping out but instead a demon grabbed me while the man's eyes opened. My voice came out as a small whimper I could tell he was fixing to yell but he noticed my wings trembling. His expression softened as a small smiled was plastered on his face "What are you doing here girlie?" he asked. My eyes looked up to his red ones "...I was dropped from an angel." I admitted as the angel wing twitched in response.
The man grinned "What's your name?" "Abby... Abby Lait..." I greeted shakily. The man chuckled "Lucifer, wonderful to meet you Abby." he introduced himself. My eyes widened as I gasped then ran out of the palace. All of a sudden light came down and an angel grabbed me once again. I struggled but the angel just kept a firm grip on my shoulder. After a few minutes, I was dropped off in another throne room with four thrones but the first one was heavily discolored. I was somehow drawn to it but as I walked my eyes started to sting but not in a painful way it was more soothing as I laid my hand on the throne.
At the moment light blossomed from my hand as the throne went back to its former glory. A small smile crept onto my face; but, a burst of rumbling laughter made it to my ears "You were right she might be the one, Michael." the same voice admitted. Slight panic came over me as I ran behind the huge throne "No need to hide child none of us are going to hurt you." a voice said. I hesitantly walked out only to see one white ring with two women and one man. The orb suddenly came into view "It is wonderful to see you once again, Abby." the orb said. The first one looked at my wings and gasped "Father move!" he yelled, charging at me.
With no thought, the wings surrounded my small frame in protection again the sword in his grip and bounced off. I sneaked a small peak past the wings only to see the angel on the ground with a cut on his arm. The wings folded in surprise as I put my hand towards him; but, my hand was swatted away by another "How dare you to injure my brother!" he yelled "Gabriel enough." the orb demanded. My eyes glided to the orb, presumably god, "What am I doing here...?" I asked desperately. Just as he was going to answer light grey smoke appeared in front of my eyes "That's rude, running away in the middle of our conversation, Abby." Lucifer's voice erupted, revealing him seconds later.
