Later on, a woman doctor came barging into my room. I was new to this hospital, I didn't exactly know any doctors or people other than Evangeline.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Hello Beckett. I'm Doctor Agnes Raja. I just wanted to meet you before we begin testing."
"Oh you're my doctor?"
"Well one of your doctors. I guess I'm your main doctor." She smirked.
"Oh."
"I did call your mom. She will be here in about an hour. Due to you still being seventeen-"
"I know." I interrupted.
"Okay. Well if you have any questions, feel free to ask me." She smiled.
"I will." I said monotonic.
It was like I had no feelings. I was the same way with Evangeline. Except she was just different. She was consisted more of the free spirited soul. Come on, the girl made a dying bucket list.
"Your doctor is the devil." Peeked Evangeline from the door.
"Oh crap-"
"Sorry. Didn't mean to give you a scare." She chuckled.
"Why is she the devil?"
"I don't know. I just have a feeling she's not so fond of my presence." She walked towards my dream board.
"Fond?"
"Yeah, like, she's not my biggest fan at the moment."
"Why do you say that?"
"I don't know. She just makes weird faces when she sees me." She chuckled.
"She seemed pretty nice to-"
"Anyway, when testing is done, we need to do something."
"Like what?"
"You are seriously the slowest American I've ever met." She said sarcastically.
"Meaning?"
"The bucket list, dummy! Remember? You agreed to help me."
"You could've said that instead of saying we needed to do something. I actually thought you wanted to hang out with me." I said sadly.
"Well that too. I have to go. I have some things I need to take care of."
"Alright, see you later."
I sat on my bed and played temple run on my phone. My mom could seriously not have taken long to get to the hospital. I just wanted to get this testing finished so I can hang out with Evangeline.
I was homesick. The hospital was a pretty boring place. I don't understand how Evangeline has something to do here everyday. It's only been two days for me and all I've done is meet Evangeline and play games on my phone. It's like I have no life. Especially since I have cancer.
"Beckett? Your mother is here. You can follow me." Said Doctor Raja.
I jumped. She came out of nowhere. Seriously, what is up with everyone popping into my room today? I followed Doctor Raja and made sure to close my door. I was behind her the entire time. I did not want to make conversation. What if she really was mean like how Evangeline explained? I mean, of course, why would I listen to her? But also, why wouldn't I?
"Hi sweetie." Said my mom.
"Hey mom."
"Okay. This isn't going to be a blood test yet. That's scheduled for next week. We will just be testing you on your physical exam." Said Raja interrupting me and my moms hug.
"Do I have to pass?"
"No-" She chuckled.
"We will just test how strong or weak your bones are. If they're getting weaker. What activities you can do and can't do."
"So like P.E?"
"Sort of." She nodded her head.
"We're ready to begin Doctor." Softly voiced the assistant.
"Alright. Remove your clothes."
A room full of girls and one of the girls being your mom seeing you almost completely naked isn't something every guy wishes for. Believe me, I know.
