🦋 Chapter 4 🦋

Amanda's POV:

We had left the restaurant and now we were walking home, in the humid night. We reached the hotel, but as I was going to enter, Alesha pulled me away. "Wait Amanda!" She called. She turned me around to face her, she opened her mouth to speak but quickly changed her mind, instead she grabbed my hand and walked me to a nearby bench, that was facing the coastline of the beach. The hotel was built just infront of the beach. She sat down and pulled me onto her lap. I wrapped both my arms around her neck to keep my balance and smiled, confused, at her. 

"I didn't want to go into the hotel just yet" She spoke. "Oh okay, thats fine" I replied. We both fell into a silence as we admired the mesmerizing view ahead of us. The beach at night was so peaceful and tranquil, the water reflected the sky above perfectly, the starry sky, the moon. The sound of the water hitting shore quietly, calmed me down, from the exciting night, I had just experienced. "Thank you for today Amanda" Lesha whispered. I smiled at her, only to realize how close we were, her face almost touching mine. I could feel her chest moving up and down as she breathed, her warm breath touching my cheeks. I was becoming so caught up in her eyes, her beautiful chesnut brown eyes, her hand cupped my cheek, I leaned in to her touch instinctively, my heart was like a train, pounding through the tracks. She bit her lip absentmindedly, as her finger traced my bottom lip sensually. Our eyes still locked in each other's stare. 

"Let's go back" I muttered, breaking the trance. "Yeah, that's probably best, its getting a bit cold, a really dark" She replied, letting me off her lap. It was extremely dark now, like Alesha said, although we had a short walk back to the hotel, I didn't like walking at night. I held out my hand cautiously, hoping Alesha wouldn't reject. She made me feel safe, she made me feel braver too. Alesha looked at my hand, then up at me, she had a bewildered look on her face. "You want to h-hold my hand?" She stuttered. "Notging new there"I responded. "I just thought that after-" She began, before I interrupted her, "You make me feel safe, like nothing can hurt me when I'm with you, and I'm scared now" I admitted. She took my hand in hers, holding it tightly, stroking my hand with her thumb. 

When we arrived back at the hotel, Alesha went straight to sleep. I was exhausted too, after all we had only been in Spain for about 6 hours or so, I was still jet lagged, but I had to text Simon first, to check up on the children. David and his son Alfred had arrived at Simon's a couple hours ago for the sleepover, the girls were having fun with Eric and Alfie. After checking up with Simon, I also decided to go to sleep, I crept into bed, facing the other way to Alesha. My mind couldn't stop thinking about her. There's no way I liked her, I couldn't, we were just best friends, but the way we looked at each other, that wasnt just friends. Did she like me too?! I needed to put my mind a rest, but I couldn't seem to fall asleep. There was no point denying it anymore, I liked Alesha... a lot. The butterflies in my stomach, my heart racing, the feeling I felt around her I couldnt deny it with all that evidence. Maybe it would be better to just hide my feelings, if I couldnt push them away, I would just have to cover them up from Alesha. Suddenly I felt her arm wrap around my body, her hand rested on my breast. She pushed up her body to my back, her front pushed up against my ass, in spooning position. I slept comfortably in her arms through the night. 

Alesha's POV: 

"Good Morning darling" Amanda said, turning to face me. "Good Morning honey" I responded, smiling. The first glimpse of sunlight cracking through the curtains of our hotel room, gleaming on Manda's face, as she smiled angelically. I got up, and got ready to go out for some breakfast. We were planning to spend the whole day on the beach. So we packed for the beach and were gonna head out and eat breakfast on the sand. We both put our bathing suits underneath our clothes. 

We stopped at the seaside cafe, to pick up some coffee and and fruit salad each, and made our way to the beach. "First day of my week with you" Amanda squeled excitedly. "I cant wait!" I replied, just as excited. We placed towels on the sand and ate our fruit as we watched the sunrise. The beach was empty as it was only 7am, we had decided to get to the beach early to spend time with each other, before we got on with the hustle and bustle of or busy day. 

Amanda's POV: 

I avoided making direct eye contact with Alesha because I didn't want a repeat of what happened yesterday. As much as I tried to deny my feelings I couldn't! Not anymore. I had always lied to myself, pushed away my feelings for my best friend. I couldn't accept that I liked Alesha. I had known her for 7 years as my best friend and I never doubted that, she wasn't anything more than my best friend, but occasionally, jut in some moments, I questioned myself. 

I started a conversation about bgt this year, trying to avoid any more awkwardness. The beach started to fill as the morning continued. "Right get up!" Alesha demanded. I did as she said, and gave her a puzzled smile. She unbuttoned the first buttons of my shirt. "We're going for a swim" She grinned, as she took off her clothes, revealing her swimwear underneath. I did the same and we headed towards the water. "Ahh its cold" I shivered, as the water splashed against my legs. "Stop being a baby" Alesha whined. She scooped up water in her hands, and threw it at me, she had an innocent grin on her face, but that wasn't gonna fool me into being nice. I splashed water back at her, starting a water fight. We giggled like children as we kicked water at each other. Suddenly a loud tune started playing. I shot my glare at Alesha, and she did the same, her eyes grew large as we both screamed "Ice Cream Truck!" I took her hand and we ran out of the sea, heading straight for the van. After we collected our ice creams, we went back and sat on our towels. 

Alesha's POV:

"I like spending time with you Alesha" Manda spoke, as she licked her ice cream. I nodded in agreement. "Me too" I responded. "We should do it more often, Ive enjoyed every moment of our vacation so far" She smiled. "I think it's the vacation you like, not me, you'd enjoy it just the same if it was Simon or David" I laughed. "No! I like it because it's you, I treasure every second I spend with you Alesha" She replied, getting up to sit on my lap. "You have some ice cream there" she said, pointing to my cheek. "Let me get it for you" she said, reaching her hand to my cheek, instead she cupped my cheek, and grabbed my neck, pulling me in for a quick peck on the lips.
