Ms.Tangs eyes are filled surprise and disbelief trying to grasp what I just said. She grips the chair arm trying to keep composed, but I can the cracks running through her facade. She takes a deep breath to steady herself and turns her attention back to me. I feel pit in my stomach, as I anticipate what she's gonna ask next. She fiddles with the smooth silver frame of her glasses, before spitting the words out.

"If you didn't kill him," she takes a deep shaky breath before continuing, "then who did?"

I know who killed him, I know why they killed him, but to truly explain the full events that has happened in the last year. I need to start from the beginning. I take a look at Ms.Tang her eyes is brimming with disbelief and suspicion. I could lie right now. I could lie to her face about the events of the past year and she wouldn't notice. It would be so easy, so so easy.

"To explain that Ms.Tang I have to start from the beginning," I take a breath willing the letters and words to come out of my mouth, "it was dark and cloudy that day."

"Almost like an omen," I chuckle lightly tasting the bitterness oozing off of it. In the business world there are two sides one is the one you see in the tabloids and newspapers. The other you don't see at all, it's the stuff that happens under the table. I just happened to be involved with the under the table deals.

I felt my feet pound heavily against the hardwood floor, as ran down the hallway. The giant windows running along the hallway filled it with early morning light, making the hallway seem the glow. I see the tall dark door at the end of the hallway and burst through it smelling the crisp mountain air, and feeling the sharp northern winds blow. The garden seems to stretch out for a while before running into the tall, gray and ugly wall surrounding the property. The house is large and majestic it sprawls across the property, but the grey and white exterior reminds me of the bleak horrors resting inside.

I feel a cold tingle running down my spine, I can feel the house watching me. I turn around and try to lose myself in the half-dead greenery. I can't remember a time since I was moved here that anyone's taken care of the plants, so it's a miracle some of them are still alive. Though now that I look around there's more weeds than plants. I feel gravel crunch under my feet as I walk and the birds twitter something I can't understand. I can't help but smile, as I feel more calm and collected now that I've put some distance between me and that house. A heavy crunching sound starts behind me as heavy boots made contact with the loose gravel rushing over to where I was. I stay still waiting for the unwanted guest to catch up.

"Lin Shi," a rough voice calls out and turn around to find the unwanted guest was one of the men that worked on the property . I never questioned the bosse's choices, but I always felt uncomfortable around the men they hired to work here. They were had an intimidating effect, and resembled a gorilla more than a human most of the time. This one had scar running down his cheek and small squinty eyes. I can tell by the way he walks that he favors his left more than his right leg. My brain seems to automatically run through different scenarios of how to escape, and his weak spots in case of a fight, but I could never guess what he was going to say next.

"Lin Shi,"he calls again, "the boss wants to see you."

The. Boss. Wants. To. See. Me?
