As Harry wandered through the leaky cauldron and out onto diagon alley. For the first time, it occurred to him that all of his friends and peers had managed, not only to become successful witches and wizards financially, but they all had a family to go home to, people to talk to, and things to do other than work.
Of course Harry was happy, voldemort had gone, and the magical world was safe, but, sometimes, he just wished he wasn't so lonely, and that it would be really nice if he just had someone to talk to when he was feeling down.
Just as Harry passed Gringotts, he noticed -out of the corner of his eye- a long black cloak move swiftly passed him and up the street. This seemed suspicious to Harry, and because he was a member of the ministry, he felt that it was his duty to turn around and investigate this strange person.
After a few minutes of running up Diagon Alley, Harry noticed the long, black cloak disappear around the corner, head down knockturn alley, and then enter what was clearly recognisable as the dark arts shop: borgin and burkes. Trying to hide his fear of that shop, Harry walked straight in, ready to confront what could be a potential ex-death-eater, when he realised who it was.
It was certainly an ex-death-eater, and most definitely someone doing something illegal, but there was something else...
it was draco malfoy......
