Shane's POV:
"Shane Butler" I told the man in frount of me. He handed me a paper.
"You're all set" the man said. I took the paper and went to the gym building. I sat down next to my friends Ethan, James, and Ronin. I felt a kick on the back of my head. I looked behind me to see Asher. He didn't like me very much.
"Sorry, I was just crossing my legs" he lied. I ignored him and looked forward again, listening to what our principal and to say.
About half way through the day, Mr. Sisler was done talking about school and rules we had to follow.
I went to a Christian private school, but no one in my class of 7 people was actually a Christian. I only went here because it was the only private school near where I lived.
When Mr. Sisler said we had the rest of the day left, my friends and I went to our usual hang out spot. In front of the dining hall or cafeteria there is a couch area on the porch. There was a large couch in the middle and two chairs on either side of the couch. I sat on a chair, Ronin sat on the other one, and Ethan and James sat on the couch. We just talked and laughed for the rest of the day.
About an hour later, Bailey came over to talk to us. Bailey was older than me. I was in 8th grade and he was a junior in high school. Even so, I had a crush on him. I was ashamed of my crush because we were both boys and the school would probably kick me out if they knew I was gay since they are Christian.
"Okay, so yeah, Todoroki is my favorite character." I told my friends.
"Todoroki? I didn't know you watched anime." Bailey said sitting on the arm of thee chair I was on. I got nervous.
"Y- yeah. I'm w- watching My Hero Academia right now." I told him.
"Oh, yeah. And Todoroki is your favorite?" He asked.
"Y- yeah" I nervously told him.
"Bakugo is my personal favorite" he told me. I shook my head as if I was saying ok.
We spent the rest of the day talking. The bus came and picked everyone up, which meant it was also time for me to go home. I didn't live far away, so I just walked. The walk was through a forest, though. Asher also lived down the same road as me. I would usually try to talk to him to make him hate me less, but it never worked. He wasn't someone who likes to talk. I looked back at him walking behind me. He was staring at the ground. I just kept walking. I didn't feel like messing with him on the first day of school.

           Sorry it's so short.
