Leia Organa shoved the stolen blueprints deep into the pockets of her jeans, listening as the sirens got closer. The unjust authorities had found the Rebel's safe house.
Arfie, her mutt dog, sprinted close at her heels as she ran down the hall. Leia heard the sounds of her fellow Rebels destroying documents.
"Forget about that, just get out!" She shouted, taking the blueprints out of her pocket and sticking them in Arfie's collar, along with a note. "Run!" She said, and her dog took off out the back door. His grey tail disappeared into the woods as she stared after him.
"Ma'am, you need to leave too. It's not safe!" Spencer, that annoying nerdy kid was following her again. Leia ignored him and gestured for him to go after Arfie. He sighed and walked to the woods.
A car pulled up in the driveway. Leia' blood ran cold. The rustles of her fellows suddenly went quiet. The sirens got louder as more and more cars stopped outside.
Leia heard the door be kicked down. She grit her teeth and grabbed her pistol from a nearby table, switching off the lamp as she did so.
Two police officers made their way closer to her. Leia took aim at them both, firing in rapid succession. They fell — and she froze. She heard the heavy breathing of none other than the sheriff.
The sheriff turned the corner and spotted her in the dark. He was a middle aged man who took his job quite seriously. "Organa," he said in a monotone voice.
"You," Leia snapped.
The sheriff had two officers flank him. They raised their tasers. "What have you done with those blueprints?"
"I don't have them! I was elected for the negotiation team! I came here to speak with the Rebels, and you've killed them and scared them away!" She glared at him in outrage.
"I know better than to believe that. Take her away!" The sheriff gestured to her with his gun, and she dropped her own. The two officers each took her by and arm and roughly escorted her to the police car.
The sheriff stared out into the woods.
