An Empty Existence

I walk through the darkness, I’m alone and afraid in this world…

Ages pass and whirl around me, but I am untouched by it

I catch a fleeting image of another, who looks so much like myself.

I yell, but there is no sound in this place.

I run, trying to catch another glimpse, only for them to once again fade into to the darkness.

I begin to walk again, one foot in front of the other. Faint memories of a time there was light in this unending dark, now I can’t even remember what heat felt like… It’s so cold here

Now I’m alone again, did I see someone…? I can’t remember…

All I see is the darkness.
