The Arranged Married

Chapter 10 - Last

Two months after Sean went back to Bandung, Rose has been doing the same activities. Wake up in the morning, order in her breakfast, then she does all the packing and replying customer messages, she also often skips her lunch, then she has her dinner around 9 PM. All her activities are as same as before Sean came into her life. But now, she misses that guy. She misses Vanessa too, but not as much as she misses Sean. Vanessa still has updated some news to Rose at least two times in a week. But Sean, since he left, he has never sent any message to Rose yet. Rose has sent message to Sean once, but he doesn't reply her message. After all, Rose is still waiting the message from him.

Rose is packing things now. No, she doesn't pack for the customer orders. She is packing her own things into her luggage because she is going to visit her family in Bandung tonight. Her family have been asking her to visit them since long time, but she just agrees to spare time for them today. She plans to stay there around one week. While she is visiting her family, she also can enjoy her holiday there. When she does the packing, she hopes that she can meet with Sean in Bandung. So, she takes her mobile phone and tries to send message again to Sean.

To: Sean

I'm flying to Bandung tonight. Wanna meet up for some coffee?

Message sent.

In few minutes, there is a message received. Rose immediately open it.

From: Sean

Hi, Rose. Sorry for not replying your message last time. I have been busy once after I reached here. I'm glad to hear that you're coming to Bandung, but I don't think we can meet very soon. Because I need to prepare for tomorrow family lunch with some of their business partners, and their daughter too.

Right after Rose read the last sentence from his message, she can't hold the tears drop on her cheek. She just realizes it is not only his father health's issue that has been making Sean busy, but also the arranged marriage. She can't do anything about it even she knows that she has been falling in love with Sean too deep after what he has done for her. After all, she doesn't send any reply to Sean. She only tries to be focus on preparing all her stuffs to Bandung.

"Rose?", Jasmine-Rose's mother-calls Rose after Rose doesn't touch any of the food in front of her.

Rose looks at Jasmine. "Yes, mom?"

"You haven't touched your food since it served in front of you. What happened? Don't you like the food?"

"I... I love it, mom. It's just... I don't understand why we come to this luxury restaurant just for having family lunch. Last night we ate at home, but nobody said that we would have lunch here today."

Jasmine, Bryan-Rose's Father, and Bob-Rose's brother smile together.

"No way, don't tell me that..."

"Yes! You're right, Miss Rose. We're sick to see you being lonely after all this time.", Bob answers excitedly. "Don't worry, we won't let you down."

"I'm going to let you all down. How many times have I said that I don't like something called arranged married???"

"It's okay, if you don't like the guy you can just tell us then we will find the others. But I'm pretty sure this one is much better than the last time we introduced you. He was one of my employees few years ago, but now he owns a fabric factory. His family also have businesses in fashion and magazine industry which are our partners too.", Jasmine says while holding Rose's hand. "Rose, trust us. We just can't see you being alone in that town any longer."

"What about my feeling? I already have someone that I love."

"Does he love you too?"

Rose is speechless because of her mom's question.

"Good afternoon partners! Sorry we are late because of some traffic jam on our way to come here.", suddenly there is one man approaches them and shakes hand with Bryan. There is also a woman beside the man and she looks very gorgeous to Rose.

"It's okay, please have a sit then. I hope you don't mind that we have started eating because we're too hungry just now.", Bryan says. "Where is your son?"

"Oh, he went to toilet after we reached here. He will show up soon. So, I guess this is Rose?", the man sits and looks at Rose. "Hello, Rose. I'm Morgan Longman and this is my wife, Flory."

Rose shakes hand with both of them. "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Longman. I'm Rose."

"Hello, Rose. I think you need to know that my son has been looking for you in many years. He has been rejecting all of the daughters from our other partners just because of you.", Flory says.

"Uh... I think there is misunderstand here, Mrs. Longman. Because I don't think your son and I have known each other before this meeting."

"Sorry, I'm late.", suddenly there is a familiar voice from behind Rose.

Rose looks at the voice's owner and she startles.

"Hi, Rose.", Sean gives Rose a smile.

"This is my son, Sean Longman. I heard that you both have known each other. After he came back from Batam, he said to me 'Mom, I've found the woman that I've been looking for these past few years.' Then we found out that woman is you, the daughter from Brown's family.", Flory continues her story for Rose while Sean having a seat in front of Rose and beside Flory.

"But... This is impossible. The first time we met was in at the airport, in Batam.", Rose can feel her heart is beating very fast right now.

"I saw you when I was still working with Mrs. Brown. You stole my heart since the first time I saw you, but you had boyfriend in that time. So, I thought that I shouldn't show up in your life, until now.", Sean explains while looking at Rose deeply. "The more I know you, the more I fall in love with you, Rose."

Rose is speechless again. She can't believe with what Sean says just now, she looks at her family and Sean's family one by one. She doesn't know how her face is right now. Of course, she feels relief when she knows the woman that Sean will meet today is her, not another lucky woman. But the truth is too good to be real. She never expects the arranged married will be the guy that she coincidentally falls in love to. Obviously, she is one of the happiest women in the world right now.

Sean suddenly kneels and says, "Rose, herewith I'd like to propose you in front of our families. Will you marry me?"

Rose feels touched then she nods and says, "Yes, I will."
