Pieces You Scatter

Age is nothing,

It doesn't matter.

Love is real,

But the pieces you scatter.

It seemed to go great,

We kept climbing that ladder.

Who would've known,

It wouldn't get better.

Nobody realizes,

The pain in your chatter.

Take a step in my shoes,

It'll make you jitter.

Time goes on,

And I'm sitting here to wither.

No matter what I do,

I am always a quitter.

Maybe that's why,

I am rather bitter.

But you should've known,

Others know me better.
