there's a girl somewhere, maybe in a strange alternate universe, maybe she lives next door to you or maybe she lives across the world, but her setting is not important, because you'll never know her, because October Oaks is a master of being invisible. maybe in the way you're thinking of at first, maybe not. it's not important just quite yet. let's talk more about her as a person, i feel like books don't really do this enough a lot of the time, and take five sentences to introduce the character and cut straight to the adventures. she loves to look at the sky and hope she'll know a lot about it, but never bothers to learn. she likes to sleep a lot, get up late, and drink too much coffee in the morning. she sometimes wishes she could summon some strange creature and it could be her friend. she doesn't find much interest in the people around her. she has a few friends, but she knows them from the internet. i don't understand the internet much, but i don't have to understand everything she enjoys. she also likes video games, and i'm hoping she could maybe teach me. dang it, i've slipped out of the ambiguous narrator sort of voice. you'll get to know me soon, don't worry. i'll just worry less from now on, the point of this isn't to get every single factor perfect, it's practically a journal. the last thing she likes is music and her favourite time of the year is when all the trees turn red and orange. and there we go, those are most of her interests. most books consider appearance to be one of the things that you need to describe every five seconds, but i'm going to try and keep that as an unimportant factor. also, i apologize if i haven't perfected this one human language, there are so many and sometimes i want to focus on another one, but i have to remind myself the subject of my research speaks this one and i can learn different languages for other projects.
